I would love weather to be added very much, however I personally don't think that they need insane natural disasters and freak thunderstorms. Some simple rain and different lighting effects would be cool though.
Also, wind would be a great addition while sailing. It would add a lot more strategy. For example, sailing directly into the wind should be basically impossible, therefore routes must be altered and SvS strategies would be changed.
