Yes, we are definitely planning on adding Davy Jones and the Kraken to the game, and along with them will be all new Quests. Stay tuned for more details!

I don't mean to harp on it, but that was nearly 3 years ago.

That's why I take this latest announcement with a grain of salt, and will wait to see what it is, whenever it's released, before I get excited.

So we are not getting the new ships that were released earlier on. Now I'll never know what would happen if one were to buy a Cerberus. Funny thing is, when I asked them, they said they had every intention of releasing those new ships. I guess they changed their minds. That is disappointing.

And that's what gets to me.

Here, they clearly said this feature is not ready and needs further development. Now, in their comment, they only said the Ship of the Line was not intended for release, so there's still a possibility that the other 5 will show up one day, as a seperate feature (according to the above image).

I sent in a support ticket when the ships were first removed and they actually explicitly stated they would release the ships. I do hope you are right about the other ships. Still, should be interesting to see the new feature. I'd really love a cool, intimidating looking ship. With explosive broadsides.

There are all kinds of questions being posted there as we speak and they are responding:

@********: It will not be the same ships you saw a year ago. SOTL was never intended to be released ... that was a mishap and instead of taking them away from Pirates we received them why not just let them keep it. What will be coming with our next content are a ship you've never seen before.

I really hope this is a good update because with Disney you can never know. Like the whole Scoundrel of the Seas thing, it was totally random and unexpected. I would have rather them just put harder ships than the four different levels of raiding. Then it took Disney for ever to somewhat update us on the next update. That got my hopes up when they said it would be like a week or two. Now they are saying that it could be another month and for only one new ship class with a couple of customizations. I am really tired of waiting and what makes it worse is that i barely know what i am waiting for. I hope Disney doesn't disappoint with the next update.
