According to the Official Pirates of the Caribbean Online YouTube page, the next update to test will be New Ships and most likely Ship Customization!! :) :D xD (finally) Here's the comment that Pirates Online posted on their YouTube page:

@ahhhhhbobba1234 & MrDaggersteel - We've got A LOT of new stuff in the works. I can't divulge what they are right now ... but expect an announcement real soon, perhaps in the next week or two. Both Basic and Unlimited Members won't be disappointed. There's a little something for everyone coming soon! I'd really love to say but can't spoil the surprise ... happy hunting Pirates! Oh and by the way, what kind of armor did you want on your new ship? Ummm ... I've said too much ... nevermind, I'll let you decide.

Awesome, finally they say something about the next test update.

However, even if we'll be able to customize our ship's armor to reinforce it's strength, they should also release tougher, stronger, and faster ship enemies for us to battle at sea.

The current ships right now in the game are so easy to take down. Makes people think you don't need a crew to take down large ships.

I really hope they add new challenges along with these upgrades to our ships......

Before we all jump up on to Cloud 9, as much as I hate being the weight around here, somebody just needs to be the voice of reason for a moment.

An announcement by Disney's standards never means the confirmation of a Test Update. At the least we may see a new developer diary or an "Insider," and then at the most there may be an update. There really is no real way of saying what it could be.

This could be either a reference to the different kinds of armor that you find on the "new" ships, like the Ship of the Line and such, or it could be a reference to actually getting to modify your hull via customization.

So while the possibilities are high, just keep these thoughts in the back of your mind.

Well from what I remember, the 6 ships that popped up on Test weren't blocked to Basic Access members - or so I thought.
But that's not to say it won't change.

And as for that armor thing, hmm... Sounds interesting. My guess is maybe you'll be able to buy hull panel upgrades? Whatever this armor thing is, I just want my 9 seperate War Frigate panels that break out in massive flames.

I see people running around on Test on rare occasions who are Basic Access. I had a friend who went basic access for a little bit and could still log on. I guess you need UA to gain access, but not to keep it?

Can't wait for this! Hopefully they'll upload a preview video soon.

I went basic for about a week or two and didn't lose my Test access, so it's possible.

Maybe they meant the scoundrel hat? Both basics and unlimited are happy... Or at least, in theory, they should be.
If ship customization does come out, I'm sure basics would get something too, kinda like weapons. Crude = basics, common-legendary = unlimited.

Well, in theory, you need unlimited to both sign up and keep the access.
Gotta love bugs though. :D

I can still get onto test when I'm basic. The person you saw was probably me. :laugh8:

I've seen more than one person.


Anyway, if the new ships are up next, then if any of them would have to be Basic Access only, I'd say the Kingfisher would be, because of her Chainshot broadsides and 1200 HP hull.
