Wat?
For right now, it seems that the bans are occuring when pirates do the suggested actions with the emote on Abassa. I'm guessing the mods are solely watching that server, because it's the largest consistent concentration of pirates in the game. I'm not sure whether you would be banned if you and a few others did the same process on a quiet server, but it might be possible.

When does it all stop? When will D realize that almost everything here can be seen from a different view? Like it has been said it all goes back to D removing the personal space allowing us to walk right throw others.

An AFK female pirate is bent over sleeping a male pirate comes along and stands inside the private space of the female pirates backside. (use your imagination from there)

Female pirates go to see Will Turner and stand on his back side with their upper region near his left hand as he does his thing.

Lol those actually sound cool and you were just using examples! But I don't get what's so "inappropriate" about flipping a coin. And why would they take it as far as banning? Barnacle is confuzed!

Aye mate all signs of bored kids, just being kids!

I have a solution to this problem(bored kids). Release new stuff in game weekly! Idle gamer hands do the work of the gamer devil!

Oh, now I think I understand how those immature people make flipping a coin turn into... you know. I agree with Del, Disney should just let the players act against it, not a GM or whatever it is that is banning the coin-flippers. We're really running low on emotes and aren't the players of the suggested age to play the game able to not use the emote immaturely and ignore the immaturity? But, not to be rude, I also think its ridiculos if you quit potco just because of losing an emote, how could you be so attached to an emote? I agree with just leaving the hand stationary, but players have to act out to keep the emote.

My brother actually noticed a motion that one of the tattoo artists does when applying a tattoo to an NPC that can be abused. Leave it to The Monster to find that stuff eh? Really, anything in this game can be abused some way or another. Its just about if they are able to be found.

Anyway, even if they release The Kraken and all that good stuff, it won't stop people from being.... sick. Lets keep it at that.

I really dont get why the POTCO staff wont just make punishments swifter and harder. like if you see someone being.. sick.. and you report them, the POTCO staff would veiw the avatars point of view who reported that sick guy, and if they see something bad happening they should be banned for some time.

The response to my email. Slightly more personalized, but no more helpful.

Ahoy Pirate Guest,

Thank you for contacting Pirates of the Caribbean Online!

The ‘coin flip’ emote has been removed from the Caribbean due to gameplay animation issues. For a list of all our currently active chat emotes, you can pull up the chat window in the lower left-hand corner of the screen in-game and click the ‘face’ icon.

We hope this information has been helpful and, we hope to see you setting sail again soon!

That's odd to me, because it says there are "animation issues" when it is obviously the fact that it is being abused and used in a bad way. Thanks Disney, you ban us, and tell us it's because we were using an animation with bugs. I sent a link to this thread too, but I doubt they read it.

I think they should remove ALL emotes for pete's sake. Yeah they are cool looking but face the facts, this is a PIRATE GAME. How often did pirates just be stanging there moving their hips, laying HALFAa their boady down to "rest"?

NO emotes have ANYTHING to do with pirate's. Remove them disney, I dont care. Remove NPC emotes too! Remove 'em all!!! Even the emote of when you prate is just standing there. How often when you stand around do you grow 3 inches then shrink 3 inches, back & forth???

That's all I have to say.

Emotes are things to do when you're bored or talking. They're used for expressions and also do show a sense of personality to a man. Emotes are especially important in this game, IF everything just stood there, it would look less realistic if they stood there without any action and if you could do nothing. We are using emotes for experssions of mind whether it is sadness or anger or happiness.

Emotes should not be removed. If they removed all the emotes then I would personally phone Disney in anger.

By the way Davy_, that "growing and shrinking" is really just your character breathing.

And Jason, I honestly didn't expect much more of a reply from them. I notice that those emails that we are getting back from them are getting less and less personalized. Technically, the coin flip is having animation issues. That is why people are able to abuse it. It is too "bouncy" so to speak. But instead of taking an hour or less to just fix it, Disney is being lazy and taking it out. Way to go guys, your lazy and now your making us pay for it.

I wasn't really expecting much Davy, and your right, it really wouldn't take that long to change it in sucha way that it can't be messed up.
