i guess they mean its great for getting the war class ships but once u get wat u want then u no longer need money i guess

yeah when i first got it it worked u could tell but now my loads are smaller than before and im carrying more cargo

It may be that there are low level pirates with you?

The level of the pirates on board effect how much plunder you get.

Everybody has their own style of sailing; but, personally, I could not live with such lop-sided broadsides. Even though I tend to favor my right, I have needed to rely on my left quite often. (Just last night, for example, I unexpectedly found myself caught in a Phantom sandwich when one spawned off my port side. Where it not for my left broadsides, I'd have ended up in jail for sure.)

Having strong left broadsides also helps when I have taken significant damage on my starboard side. I can turn my port side to the enemy and use those broadsides, thereby shielding my weakened starboard side from addtional fire.

I have also been debating what to do with my sailing skill points and whether Task Master might be worthwhile, so last night I did some time tests. After firing my broadsides, it took them 15 seconds to recharge. One skill point on Task Master will reduce that time by 3% -- meaning that the recharge would then take 14.55 seconds. (wow...) If each additional skill point reduces the recharge time by 3%, then a fully maxed Task Master will give you a recharge time of about 12.75 seconds. That is such a miniscule benefit, imo, that I think I will invest my points elsewhere. (Haven't decided where, but probably more speed upgrades...)
