Disney doesn't need to tell you the reason why you were terminated, because they "have the right to do what they want with your account". There was something in the guildlines/policies that said that when we signed up for POTCO. Did you use an email address that wasn't yours, or perhaps a macro? Even if you didn't, legally, because you signed up for POTCO, they don't have to tell you anything.

Now to give my own little personal comment here, why is it that I keep on hearing about people getting banned, "with no known reason"? I've been playing the game for a long time now, and I haven't gotten anything. How is it that I'm having no problems yet people keep complaining about getting banned for no reason? Out of thousands of people am I the lucky one to not get banned for no reason?

Sorry guys, but because I've never experienced something like this, I can't really believe what you say. And about that, have a horrible day thing, that was obviously added in. I've seen countless termination posts on POFs' sister site, TTC, and they never end like that. I've also seen a few others on here... and none end like that. Di$ney isn't that heartless.(Only sticking up for them because they finally raised the caps!)

I agree with MacIronhawk. I've been playing since beta and have never had a ban. I'm sure deep down you know what you have done, and why your account has been terminated. I'd respect ya more if you held your hands up and said "yes, I did this or that and got my account terminated. What a fool I am"
And also, being a GM you should be setting a good example to your guild mates!

I'm serious, Disney wont give me a explanation, Even after my mom sent them 2 emails, And with a FedEx letter asking why also that got not reply.

As for setting an example for Korsairs,..... funny thing to say, we don't usually get banned and for being a uncaring Guild, that we are not, just very funny, for only once have I been banned for moving Korsair traditions to the game but on the night I was terminated there was low Korsair " activity" only kicked a member out and had tea with crumpets.

And for expecting to be treated better for being the Gm of my guild, by that I meant to at least give me some more leverage with my amount of suspensions and to send a email to my guild member explaining that I was banned and even why I was. But one cannot hope with Disney, after all auto ban has not worked for a few Korsairs including me.

I have to be honest though. I have played POTCO for over a year and a half now and I have never been suspended, banned or reprimanded. My son has played without being punished either. And so has every member of my guild and every member of his guild and all of my friends and the fact is...I don't know a single person who has been banned. Told to take a day or two off, sure but banned? Not a soul.

toanuju22 - You know what you did to get banned. You cheated or hacked or caused trouble or went phishing for personal information or whatever. But you know. Be a big boy and confess. By doing that, you will actually help other pirates who might make the same bad decisions.

I don't believe that someone at POTCO told you to "Have a Horrible Day." But in the event that someone DID write that...It just may be your only way back in. It proves that the person making this ban decision is a bit childish and vindictive. Not at all professional. UNLESS OF COURSE YOU WERE CAUGHT HACKING!!!! Then you deserve to have a horrible day.

As a parent I have to say, "Don't get your MOM involved unless you are telling her the truth. My daughter got kicked off some stupid website years ago and I defended her tooth and nail. And while I was defending her, I found out she was less than truthful. Don't make your MOM look like an idiot dude. OK?

If I turn out to be wrong, you have my sincerest apologies. It's just that something smells wrong here. "Banned for no reason" NEVER happens.

I agree.

I've done some pretty stupid stuff in my life, but it was my fault. I got myself into those situations so it was my responsibility to get myself out. There were some pretty crummy lessons to be learned, but rest assured I never repeated those same mistakes again.

From a mother's point of view, I'd help my daughter any way that I could but I would be absolutely furious if I found out she wasn't on the level with me. When our kid is in trouble, every parent kicks into defense mode, and sometimes rightfully so. But if they had it coming, we just end up looking like complete idiots.

If you're being 100% honest, I'm sorry this happened to you and I hope it gets resolved. If not, well... sorry to say this but every action has a consequence.

How many times must I say this , I don't know why I was terminated!
I came back from school on a Thursday evening and just check my email and got hit in the head with a brick from POTCO saying my account was terminated.

And for getting my Mother into this, was only because POTCO wouldn't reply to a few of the emails I sent them, so I used my Mom's instead to get the some even more confusing emails.

As for being a " Big Boy" and confessing, there is nothing to confess I am just as confused as a monkey on Mars. If I had even the ability to hack what is my motivation, I had everything I wanted before my termination, a great guild, some good friends, no one that I really hated, as I call it "Friendly Competition".

I'm seeking advice not giving it, even as many people I know state that my advice is worthless.My only 2 cents of advice is don't trust gunner with a entire guild supply of rum.

I am a witness of that night. Toanuju22 did nothing to deserve a termination. He has been nothing but an upstanding guildmaster, and player. I would like to comment that hacking is something the corsairs NEVER use. a few harmless glitches, but never for purposes of gain of any sort, and never use foul language. I do agree that something is fishy about Disney not offering a reason as to the termination of his account. I have seen far worse roaming the shores of abassa tortuga that simply do not get a reprimand when they have violated many of Disney's policies, many times in only one sentance.

Even though this is off topic, I would ask POTCO to see your log in times. It's possible that while you were at school someone "hacked" your account and abused it. I've heard of this happening before, and some people never get good responses from Disney.

If they can check our chat, I'm sure they can check our log in times. If you they do give you the times, and one looks suspicious, I would tell them. Even ask for the IP address. I don't know if they can give you that information, but if they can, I would ask them if one looks different that another. If the IP address(I believe it's how they know your location) looks different, then you can prove you didn't do anything. Eh... what I mean is, if there is one or more IP address, and you know you only play on one computer, you can tell them that you obviously didn't do anything.

I've never been in a situation like this before, so I don't think I can say anything more. If you truely have no idea why they banned you, they have to give you an explanation. Legally, I believe, although the policies say they can do anything to your account without an explanation. That creeps me out.

P.S. If you used a glitch, like the speed glitch, they could have banned you for that. Even minor glitches, if they help you advance through the game, can get you banned.

Just throwing in something.. it doesn't matter if nothing bad happened on the night before he was terminated.. his termination could be the result of something he could of done a while ago, and Disney could of just found out. Just because the termination happened, doesn't mean it has any connection to the day before.

All she is stating is that the night he was banned, he was doing nothing that goes against the Terms of Use. HOWEVER, this does not mean that the nights SURROUNDING the night he was banned had nothing to do with it.

People, listen. We can not rightfully accuse anybody of anything until we get all of the facts straight. Reprimanding toanuju isn't going to get us anywhere, its just going to turn what was supposed to be a simple thread into a heated debate.

If you really wanna find out what happened, toanuju, is simply just keep asking Disney. Your best shot at getting a response out of them is calling them, rather then emailing them. That way, you can get an actual answer from an actual human being, instead of a scripted, automatic email. Also, when you ask them, what I would do is....

1. First, ask why you were terminated.
2. If what they tell you is something that did not happen, ask for them to find out the exact time of when this happened. That way, if somebody did hack you, you know how.
3. If they actually said to you in their email "Have a Horrible Day," whether you actually did something wrong or not, that is inexcusable. I would DEFINATELY complain about that.

Heres my position from what I've read (my thoughts, not facts)
1. toanjuju did nothing
2. He appears to have been hacked
3. the hacker seems to have stolen data from disneys database somehow disguising themselves as you.
3. Saying have a horrible day was rude irrelevant of the crime unless something was major was destroyed.
4. you should call and complain about this
5. If you lied, you will need to do something huge to gain my respect back.

Been trying to call Disney but mostly each time I call they say "Send us a Email and we will help" and of course that leads me nowhere, well Ill see if the 13th time is the lucky charm for calling.
