Wow what a thread!
I understand why this question was asked. I personally have several pirates (two account, unlimited and basic). On my unlimited I have Kate Goldwalker (mastered), Kate Seawalker, Just Jack and Katieskye Walker. Just Jack is my son's pirate. On my basic account I have Kate Goldwalker and Yo-Duuh. I LOVE Star Wars and just had to make a Yo-Duuh. Yes he is short, gray haired and balding, with ears that stick out as far as I could get. Unfortuantely I cant make a pirate green. : ( I made Yo-Duuh just for fun and my guild knows all my pirates and now that Yo-Duuh is me, no problem.
However, I have experienced issues where there are guys playing as girl pirates and vice versa. I have no problem with a cross-gender pirate. The problem I do have is when a cross-gender pirate is flirting with a pirate of the opposite gender. Cross gender gril pirate flirting with a guy pirate and vice versa. I personally feel that this is crossing a line.
So, here is my advice. IF you have or plan on creating a cross gender pirate, make sure the people who are friends with you or in your guild know this. And if anyone starts to flirt with that cross gender pirate, I would suggest they be informed too.
I have noticed that being a girl and playing a guy pirate (my son's Just Jack and my Yo-Duuh) that several things are different in the game between the genders. First, the guys run strange. They clop clop their way around and from the back look like they are running head frist. Second, I think their arms are longer. I noticed this when attuning things. And I also noticed that they are created in the game to be stronger than girl pirates. I actually noticed this in a pvp match with a friend from my guild. My mastered Kate Goldwalker is stronger than his guy pirate in a few weapons, but yet he was still kicking my butt. The pvp match was a tie though, LOL.
