I have 2 guy pirates and 2 girl pirates. My first pirate was a girl pirate and got to 40, but i deleted her. I think its ok, but a friend deleted me once when I told her I am a guy, on a girl pirate. I try to make sure all my friends know I am a guy.

Wow what a thread!
I understand why this question was asked. I personally have several pirates (two account, unlimited and basic). On my unlimited I have Kate Goldwalker (mastered), Kate Seawalker, Just Jack and Katieskye Walker. Just Jack is my son's pirate. On my basic account I have Kate Goldwalker and Yo-Duuh. I LOVE Star Wars and just had to make a Yo-Duuh. Yes he is short, gray haired and balding, with ears that stick out as far as I could get. Unfortuantely I cant make a pirate green. : ( I made Yo-Duuh just for fun and my guild knows all my pirates and now that Yo-Duuh is me, no problem. However, I have experienced issues where there are guys playing as girl pirates and vice versa. I have no problem with a cross-gender pirate. The problem I do have is when a cross-gender pirate is flirting with a pirate of the opposite gender. Cross gender gril pirate flirting with a guy pirate and vice versa. I personally feel that this is crossing a line. So, here is my advice. IF you have or plan on creating a cross gender pirate, make sure the people who are friends with you or in your guild know this. And if anyone starts to flirt with that cross gender pirate, I would suggest they be informed too. I have noticed that being a girl and playing a guy pirate (my son's Just Jack and my Yo-Duuh) that several things are different in the game between the genders. First, the guys run strange. They clop clop their way around and from the back look like they are running head frist. Second, I think their arms are longer. I noticed this when attuning things. And I also noticed that they are created in the game to be stronger than girl pirates. I actually noticed this in a pvp match with a friend from my guild. My mastered Kate Goldwalker is stronger than his guy pirate in a few weapons, but yet he was still kicking my butt. The pvp match was a tie though, LOL. |

As for playing a girl pirate - I DO NOT LIE about who I am. I don't conceal that I'm a man playing Eliza. If a guy hits on her, I let him down easy in a whisper.
However, I do occasionally flirt with other girls (ones I've confirmed are actually girl players and friends). But, I try not to be public about it because that might be a little much for nearby younguns. So, if you see Eliza - sorry but she's not looking for a boyfriend! ![]() Too many people are playing POTCO trying to hook up, I think. EC |

girl pirates seem to get more help from others than do guy pirates. I asked someone who was flipping a coin for help, on my guy pirate, he said no....so I decided to do an experiment. I returned to the guy who was flipping a coin on a girl pirate and asked for the same type of help(getting ships) and he glady said yes.

Quote:
The rep earned from defeating an enemy are equal. Guy or girl, max health is 2502. (I seem to remember that number, anyways.) It may be that he was beating you because he had more health than you,(spent more points in that passive skill) or because he was using his combos better, or because he was ...um... cheating somehow, but it wasn't because he was "Stronger" than your girl pirate.

I don't see why anyone would see it as a problem really, as long as we are ... uhm ... behaving ourselves, lol. I have a guy Pirate mostly just to see what we could do, and because i wanted to give a pirate a particular name ... and it wasn't (as a young fellow a few of us Pixies were talking to put it) a "chick" name.

Have a level 32 girl and i personally do not want to play as a guy. But hate being hit on so i see the appeal. I try to keep a coat on her and no run by friends. Learned the hard way with really offensive stalkers. Should have made her fat or skinny and flat. LOL. Pixie piratez out there will understand the reference " not as easy as staying out of Dewdrop Ridge." Have to much work invested in her to delete so learning to cope.

Of 10 pirates, one is a girl, as I once felt I had a need to test everything in the game. I like the girl, though I make a point to friend no one and crew with no one when I use her.
She's purdy though. As well, I like the name. |
