Oh sure - before the update was out they made sure to close the ones that would get them bombarded with negative feedback.

Of course it's a sure thing that even if they'd left them open they would have only published high praise comments anyway.

I was excited about the blog at first, but now I realize it's just a way for them to appear concerned about feedback.

(i don't expect my comment to be approved by their mods not that its a language issue but if they censor us there like they do in the game theyll just play Big Brother with my comment and send it to the recycle bin with he probably thousands of other comments that dont agree with them)

This is just funny. Here are some of the comments in the Updates thread on the grog blog:

I like the point reallocation. I "HATE" the fact that the compass refuses to work right. I hate that the ships go around in circles shooting so fast that you have no time to think. I hate that when you go to kill a scorpion, crab, alligator (so forth and on) that they come back tiny... (that's what we wanted tiny enemies). I hate the way the doll won't attune barely at all, been working that doll for months and now it doesn't want to work right and of course tech can't help. I hate the look of the new weapons. I hate that the glitches are gone. Basically, I'm unhappy with the update. Seriously disappointed.

what's with the enemies running at the speed of light, going through solid walls, and being able to attack (with non-ranged weapons) from great distances? Especially in Kingshead, we had the Boss EITC guys attacking us from INSIDE a wall. He could get us, we couldn't touch him. I hope you're aware of these problems because it does lessen the enjoyment of the new features considerably.

I don't like the looks of the new weapons and am not impressed with their strength. Also, gone are the days of just sailing around for hours sinking everything. I don't like that the enemy ships seem to be able to hit you while they are sinking, or not aiming at you. Their shots just seem to have the curve of a major league pitch or even hit you even when it shows the shots hitting the water and not your ship. I agree with an earlier statement about the bosses lvl not showing right. My level bar again shows that I am ready to turn lvl 41, but has now stopped moving. Would like to be able to continue lvl'ing up and gaining skill points, health, and voodoo for rounding out my character and for new things. We should be able to have more clothes and money too. I do like the PVP fixes, but it seems overall our characters are weaker against even simple enemies.

still a lot of glitches. Too many 'invisible' enemies (or above my head?) that I can't fight or escape. Or wasps that are down and small, and can't be hit. Looking for some new fixes.

Of course the fanboy/girl posts outweighed the complaints 8 to 1, but it appears that even though D posted some complaints they're ignoring them out of hand.

If the NPC's can glitch through obstacles (like rocks, shrubs, fences and trees) to attack us, we should be able to glitch through those same obstacles to get away. The NPC's should NOT be able walk through fences, walls, trees, rocks, shrubs, etc. Even the undead should not be able to walk through these obstacles (they're undead, not ghosts). if the Navy NPC's can jump the fence, give us the same ability.

I would like for Disney to adjust the Hex shot to at least do something. I would prefer that it go back to the way it was.

Please remove the grenades and replace them with a useful weapon.

I love fighting the new bosses and the skill point realocation, but the new weapons were a dissapointment. Particularly since they do less damage.

The "Grog Blog" is Big D propaganda, and serves no real purpose other than to pretend to listen.

I've written several even flattering comments, and nothing gets approved.. yet some one gets

"Undead Scary" approved as a post... thats boarding line SPAM/Non-Contributive.. what was the point.. I say rename it "Big D's Joke of the day" blog.
