can you friend som1 without seeing them like is there a box where you can type their name in to add to your friend list?

At the time, there isn't any way to do that. However, that would be a nice feature for the game to implement, incase there was a person you knew in real life that you wanted to friend without having to hunt them down, or in this case, someone you knew on the forums. ^^

yes.. go to the pirate page and do a search... it lists every pirate in the game... sometimes there is more than one person with the same pirate name, so you have to look through their pics until you find the one you are looking for. It willl tell you everythting about that pirate too. notoriety level, weapons levels etc... It will list their xd name on your friends list once you have them on there. All you need to do is click on their xd name, then click on show pirate.
