Hex Eater vs Undead Gypsy Bug?
I noticed lately when fighting Undead Gypsies that my Hex Eater shot doesn’t work consistently. I can shoot one 3-4 times, drain its voodoo, pull out my doll and kill it, then on the next one it acts the same way yet when my shot is through draining voodoo the gypsy is still poking and swarming me.

Noticed this with Mollusks on Tormenta as well. Was using hex-eater on Mollusks to "rest up" after tackling Urchinfists and getting the snot beaten out of me, rather than using potions.
Mostly I noticed it if I tagged them and drained them, then got drawn into killing something else. They'd go back to digging, and when I attacked them again, they were immune to the hex-eater. |

If the last shot of hex-eater you fire still shows voodoo being drianed, you need to fire more. I discovered this when I was out killing gypsies one day, and one used life drain on me out of the blue

yea i shoot until no more blue then i put 2 or 3 extra shots idk if disney made it now to where the voodoo restores on them

You lose ALL earned REP up to that point - even if their damage bar shows them to be 'somewhat dead'. As for the Hex not keeping them 'stunned' - the only time I find I have the issue is if I switch ammo on the gun 'too soon' (actually - its more really like if the game picks up that you switch ammo - then all bets are off kinda deal). To avoid this switch to the ammo you want to use at the same time drawing for the pistol - don't switch ammo after using Hex. Just put the gun away, then when you press F2 to draw the weapon as soon as you see the action press the Number of the ammo you want to use - the game doesn't 'see' the switch and you can carry on. On the odd occasion - I'll have one come back alive no matter what I do *shrug* them's the breaks I guess... but I've still had really good sucess at keeping them Hexed with this method. Best of luck

Yep, as Maxximvs said. They will waken up then you have to hit them with a different weapon or else they will be immune to the last weapon u used on them.

I don't think the waking up is the problem. I've had this happen myself with gypsies in El Sudoron.
I'd shoot with the hex eater. First two shots have blue numbers. Third shot does not. This is usually all it takes. So I switch to regular shot and start firing. Then the gypsy starts cursing and poking. I switch back to hex eater and shoot. No blue. Shoot a couple more times. No blue. Shoot more. Ah, blue! Shoot some more, no blue. Switch back to regular and continue. Gypsy starts poking and swarming me. This happened with every gypsy in El Sudoron that I fought on that visit. When I decided to bail and just head for the beach, it stopped. Those gypsies stayed drained. And the gypsies in El Sudoron since then have also stayed drained. I have no idea what was going on. It was almost like their voodoo was regenerating mid-fight. |

Hmm, Ive never had that hapen. I havent been playing much wth gypsies since the weapon updates, bu it could be residue from that.
