Maybe I'm dumb or just tired of looking for the diamond. Where am I to find his "butler" and cigars?

it's in the town in tortuga across from the tavern (in the corner)

when you walk up to it it will say Bowdash's Mansion

Walk out of the bar and turn left. Its the place on the left in the corner.
