Question about Boss Battle

I've seen stage 1 - how many stages are there? Do you have to complete them all at once or can you do it at different times without having to start at the beginning? I'm not usually online more than an hour or so, so I was wondering if I can do it a bit at a time or should I wait till a day when I have plenty of time?

I suppose no one can "go to" you when you're in the battle, either, so they're listed as online but you can't teleport to them the whole time.

The whole thing can take from 5 mins to upwards of 60 mins. Dependin if you go solo or with a good crew. I highly suggest 5 people total. One to sail and 4 cannoneers. Its four stages, but if you die, you have to start over from the start.....defeat the Officers, sink 4 light Frigates, distroy 4 sets of bridges, and the last part, beat the Goliath.

Last night I was in with a crew. My crew all died at the officer part. I was the last one standing and once I finished off the officers, I couldnt get any help to TP to me. Its not an easy task to do solo.

Finally got some crew this afternoon - 10 people - and we did it. In like 5 minutes. It was fun but it was disappointing that it ended so soon. Honestly, the John Smith quest was more of a challenge.

LOL, but it was nice to get away from the monotony.

Did a crew of 10 last nite - 5 with Staffs (Withers all-around ) and 7 with Cannon Lighting - 5 minutes was all that was needed...

Hit the boat and within seconds 5 withers were blasting away... total time about 30 seconds...

Took the wheel - cutscene to the light frigates and fought them usng Normal Cannonballs - not even a scratch to the Pearl... total time about 1:30...

Hit the bridges - have to admit we took more damage here then I expected (since the four light frigates were a joke) - but then again we were all holding back the lighting I think too much for the Goliath... total time for bridges 2:30...

The Goliath, just before the first shot hit Full Sail and Turned Left while he was BLASTED with lighting... maybe 30 seconds...

5 minutes... its was over.

Now I dont think we wouldn't have done NEARLY that good without my Staff and the other four (others in the Guild tried earlier in the day - took three attempts before they were sucessful with only one staffer) and 7 Lighting Gunners (the bridges did do more damage than the frigates... but I think we could have used more lighting on them - being our first run we didnt know wht to expect at the end ) A couple of lighting users will do it - but anyone else they bring better have good secondary skills (fireball or high cannonball points).

Doing it alone?? Donno... it would be a fight thats for sure... you'd need to budget tonics and cannon resources carefully - and I'd want to also have a really good Doll with my Staff if I was going to try to do it alone...

*shrug* eh - thats my first experience....
