Skeleton ship need help!!

Ok so this is my first post!!

I usually go out with my friends crew, but he has not been on for a while. I am saving up for a fragite, so i do not want to buy a ship yet. I have to get a splinter from a skele ship. I have tried to do it by myself by doing it like some people said on posts, but it is just not working. I really need help. I will be on all day in Abassa Ocean.
