Yay, Instead of develop new strategies to make the game better why not show more favoritism as well as distract players from the inevitable demise of potco!!!!

LOL, I had no idea POTCO was helplessly lying someplace waiting for someone to revive it before time ran out. They know what they're doing, and more importantly, why they need to do it.

If anything, I see them correcting us for not doing these things ourselves as a community to whichever forum we registered to. This is the only one I belong to and they have tried various ways to attract new members and keep things interesting for current members. Kudos to them for their efforts, but even they will tell you that there's only so much they can do. The burden still lies with us, you and me, simple members creating ways to be active here and there in-game.

Kudos for all those, which are few really, that have been doing just that without complaint.

As for this nomination contest, the sad truth is that there aren't that many players pirating on a regular basis. Just a few with so many accounts helping each other build up their respective pirates belonging to said accounts; Pirates that span across many guilds [for various reasons], not necessarily belonging to only one guild. No such thing as loyalty to one guild in other words. Only loyalty to the very few friends we've met over the years. So with that being said, hopefully the guild that players nominate chose the active GM of that guild for being so dedicated to their guild to this very day. That GM is the heart of that guild's thriving existence. That GM is the reason why people will log in and stay the course knowing greater things are indeed coming to the Caribbean.

I'm very sorry, but after over 6 months with any new content (although I don't count the Aprilish update since it was an add-on to ship customization, making it almost 12 months without any new content), it is really hard for me to believe that they know what they're doing. After this long without any new content, and the fact that the game is rapidly decreasing in quality and popularity (there are DEFINITELY less people on than there were 6 months ago), more "popularity contests" should be the last thing on their list. I unfortunately am going to have to go with Cannonfury on this one. With the state of the game the way it is, these contests are really bad for the game. They really don't do anything, and it isn't going to make the game any better.

I cannot and will not congratulate POTCO for yet another contest like this when the game so desperately needs a fresh and good update, especially when they have not had bug fixes for something like 6 months, and absolutely no communication between us and them regarding what they might be working on, if they are working on anything at all (even I, formerly so optimistic about the game, have begun to doubt).

Honestly, we can no longer just sit by and believe that these are just things that they're doing to keep up suspense or something. The community of POTCO has been patient for a long time, far too long. At this point, more of these contests are probably hurting the game.

That's my criticism for now. Either way, back to this contest, good luck to those who wish to win. I'm sure there are still many fine guilds out there who would be worthy of victory in this contest.

To round it up, it's up to the players to keep the game alive and in good condition while remaining quiet about what ever issue there might be?

I found this kind of offending considering I have done my fair share on POTCO. I do pay and have not really been the type to complain because I usually disregard it just a game and of low importance. But I still find the game poorly maintained and can't blame any player for that.

They cannot be correcting us because I am pretty sure players make events for fun. Just recently there was a 5th anniversary event run by players and many players are still playing because of friendly events and friends. So as communities which I am new to, seem to make the best out of it but there is a limit due to what the game offers and repetition. Someone who knows what their doing does not ignore their customers at a grand scale. I have not heard any news from the petition but I am guessing it is because Disney is ignoring it (am I wrong??).

About a week ago I took a couple of hours to look into why the game is so bad and it turns out that the division running it is loosing money overall and is somewhat confused in the sense that they are trying to make money but keep failing. If you want the sources, send me a message and I am pretty sure they will convince you that they don't know what they are doing. They definitely, 100% do no know what they need to do.

Events like this don't even need developers. They aren't making anything. They are just counting. So as a paying player, how can I be assured that they even have a developer or two at least, working for the game since we have not heard of any new content or fixes in many months.
