Quest for Jack Sparrow's Father - June 11, 2012

Captain Edward Teague is known throughout the islands as one of the most feared and mysterious Pirates ever to have set sail. A lesser known fact is that he is also Jack Sparrow’s father.

Being a slippery fellow must gallop in this Pirate family, for every year, Jack needs help finding his shadowy dad. Visit Jack Sparrow in the Rowdy Rooster Tavern on Port Royal to lend a hand and begin the Father’s Day Quest.
For yer rewards, you’ll receive gold, and earn Double Reputation points for three hours!

WORDS OF CAUTION, MATES:
As in all dealings with Jack Sparrow and his elusive father, the end to this Quest can be somewhat… tricky.
Just know that once you sink the Navy ship, Captain Teague is saved and yer
Quest is complete! Your three hours of Double Reputation reward begin
immediately thereafter, as shown by this icon over your Pirate:

The clock stops ticking on your Double Reputation time when you log out of the Caribbean.

Where: Start with Jack Sparrow at the Rowdy Rooster Tavern on Port Royal

This Quest is available to both Basic and Unlimited Pirates.

I tried to get this quest again from last year but I guess you can only hold 1, too bad. Gotta complete the first one on 3 pirates now. :P

Can you still get it after you complete those older Father's Day quests? It's nice to see they added an extra hour of double reps this time. I will get them for all mine [open and test] and use them later.

Now, a funny thing happened yesterday when this event debut. While waiting on a friend to return, I brewed some potions and then walked right into the nearest tavern to play some card games at Port Royal. lol, and there he was, standing at the bar in Rowdy Rooster, looking this way and that.

I was not interested in getting that quest... not yet. I went ahead and played some cards. Afterwards, I walked up to the bar and just did what he would do in such an instance: Order a drink, what else? It's quite frightful every time the rum disappears, mate.

And what of all things did my ear hear from that fine fellow? This!


A new island? That same one Captain Sharktooth spotted at test server some time ago? I clicked many times after that to find more clues, to find him repeat those same words, but to no avail. The first click did the trick. The rest I heard all before.

One word: magic.

Nope, that comment is talking about Raven's Cove. NOT another island. Sorry to disappoint.
