sword or dagger!!!???
hi everyone!
i have lvl 13 sword and level 3 dagger. i was wondering, is it even worth spending your time trying to make your dagger a high level? the reason i am focusing on my sword is that you get extra health per gained level. does anyone think it is worth spending the time on the dagger instead of the sword? im very torn. Thank you in advance! Bobby Saint John |

The dagger has some good Passive skills you'll want down the road.
I believe those Passives are described in a post near the top of the "WeaponSmith" Forum. Check 'em out. Not to mention, you'll need to get the Dagger movin' on up, if you intend on gaining that mystical Level 40 Notoriety.

You'll definitely need a dagger with at least level 5 by the time you complete "The List" if you haven't.

you gain Hp from increasing the dagger also ...
but if you ever plan to reach lvl 40 .. you are going to have to use the dagger at some point, you will not recieve Not. rep. after you max out any weapon there for you need to use them all .. plus nothing worse them maxing out the sword then trien to start over with the dagger at lvl 3 when ur lvl 25 .. makes it hard to kill all over again and no one wants that ... i try to keep them balanced so that you are able to stay effective with any form of attack and always gain rep .. Plus Viper nest is hecka cooll ...lol later, knives to run with

Hey thanks for the info. I've not used the dagger much. Didn't see much of a need for it but you've brought up some very good points. I will work on keeping them all around the same level.

Aye, I think it's a good idea to keep your cutlass and dagger within a few levels of each other.
I'd also recommend putting a dot on either Asp or Adder early on. (You don't need both.) You can then use it to tag Navy or EITC soldiers - since you can't shoot them - and get them to come at you. Both Sidewinder and Viper's Nest do the same thing, of course, but you need to be at a much higher level before you can get them. The passive skill Blade Instinct is the real prize here, imo. It increases the damage you can inflict from both your dagger and cutlass by 25% (if you max it out). Definitely worth saving skill points for. |

cutlass is worth the damage but dagger is worth the passive and so is grenade

Cutlass is best for close up combat. Daggers are useful for ambush. Throw a dagger from far, wait for them to come near, Throw Dirt in their face, then slice away. They'll miss some shots, get plenty damage, then you can combo slice them then throw a dagger, repeatedly. Finish them off with something else, if desired. Priceless.
