Thumbs down Aces need faces contest people using macro

I want to enter the aces need face contest (play from midnight to midnight) to win that i-pod touch but I am worried that im going to play all day just to have people use macro and beat me to it. (Not that I think I can win) Do any of you think this is going to be a big problem in this contest and future contests. Any ideas how to stop it?

If you played midnight to midnight (which I doubt you can... nothing against you but no one can do that, it's too boring) you would win hands down. For people using macros, they would lose a lot more hands than someone who is actually there playing; unless they had some sort of card recognizer to tell it the best move to make(which I doubt anyone has).

Some people may be using marcos but if you played manually you would beat them hands down.

Ok I guess I might as well try. Your probibly right about them losing all the hands and that I can't stay up midnight to midnight. I don't really get how macros work so thx for the explanation!

If you really are thinking about staying up playing blackjack for so many hours, think about how angry you would be if/when you find/found out you lost. All the hours playing blackjack could probably be used to make $300 (which is the value of the iTouch) by working somewhere else.

The contest turns into a "who wants the ipod the most" contest, you start out strong and concentrating on winning games as fast as possible, but as you find yourself watching movies on youtube or reading / watching TV. You start slowing way down in your wins. If you concentrate 100% of the time I would garuente you 100% that you will win. And yes depending on your job, you may make $400working for 24 hours, but I wouldn't call laying back in a chair clicking a couple a couple buttons and listening to music a hard job.

You wouldn't? I would...

It's basically torture, seriously. Imagine just sitting there for 24 hours clicking... torture? Yes.

I don't think I'll waste my time entering anymore. I looked on the most hands of blackjack leaderboard and I figured out that to be them on that day I would have to win almost 2 hands a minute for the whole 24 hours. (Ouch)

Actually, Shhlatkinz is right about how nobody would stay up for 24 hours playing Blackjack...

( I would take his advice... On Toontown, he was the fastest to level from 15 to 129 on Nacho Average Pig. So if he thinks it's too long, then a there is a good chance that everybody thinks it's too long. )

Thanks!

If you're really after this iPod and have the time, I would say get yourself real comfy, and if you play for 8 hours straight you probably will win.

Okay, today that first placed dude who won with 2847 hands definetely cheated somehow...

Someone should send in a report and ask the POTCO staff to check that out. No way did he win all those hands alone.

Only other possibile explanation is that his whole family rotated playing blackjack.

gosh staying up for 24 hours doing nothing but playing blackjack you would most likely go blind, pass out on the floor, die of dehydration(sp?), or start going delisional(sp?) if someone actually did stay up and played blackjack for 24 hours they must;
A. Really really really really want an Itouch
B. Have absoultly no life
C. Someone paid them to do it
D. You have absolutly nothing else to do with your life

and if the person that stayed up for 24 hours ended up not winning well that could result in a damaged computer or worse O_o

but i give my hats off to those who will stay up and play for 24 hours as far as the macros go they should not be a problem

Reminds me of fishing on TT... click, cast, click, cast, click, cast...

I'd rather master my weapons in this game than fish in Toontown. I know it's harder now since the update, and you never go sad while fishing, but if you can fish for hours, and for days and weeks on end for those fish, with only chance on your side if you're lucky, you can master your weapons here and even have more control of when it will happen.

As far as the blackjack goes, as monotonous as it would be, Im sure there will be a few who will be spending a lot of time on it. Thats a pretty sweet prize.

Why wouldn't the macros be a problem? Someone can put so much effort into playing manually for 12 hours only to be beaten by someone who ran the macro for 24 hours and only put in the 2 minute effort to set it up.

bc as stated above they will lose most of the time as apposed to someone actually being there with a working human brain not a computers hard drive
- human brains are 10X better than a computers processing power -
