Pirates have many wish lists and requests but a few are always constant - Pirates want more challenge, adventure, customization and reward! Check out what the following Pirates have been saying:

Robert says, "How come there are no events or contests that are PvP related? It's been about 3 years since the game was launched, they never gave PvP any real attention ..."

Other pirates have gone on to say: "Can't you feel that they are going to do something major to PvP?"

Leo proclaims, "... I play this game because of PvP or Privateering..."

There's no getting past these Pirates who hold PvP and Privateering so close to their hearts. In honor of all Pirates who like to prove their worth battling in the player vs. player realm, we would like to formally introduce:

PvP Infamy Rewards



Infamy will be two new and seperate experience tracks that will be earned with every victory you achieve in PvP and Privateering.

This experience will earn you special badges and rewards when you meet certain achievement levels. The rewards will allow you to customize your Pirate's name tag with Infamy Badges which you can proudly display for everyone to see. Show everybody that you are well on your way to becoming a War Master (PvP) or Admiral (Privateering)!

In addition to the badges and ranks, Pirates will also be able to use their Infamy to purchase unique items from new Pirates who have washed up on Pierre le Porc and Garcia de la Avaricia's islands.



In addition to all these new features, there are many concerns that will be addressed regarding PvP and Pirvateering. Long gone will be spawn kills, kill steals and cannon/weapon exploits. Please be patient as we prepare this release for Test. We will keep you fully informed here on www.PiratesOnline.com when Infamy is ready to be tested and released. this sounds great i would love to finally have a rank at sea that i can actually display instead of having to remind people that i am a captain haha but thers one that that troubles me: if the infamy decreases on days that you do not play will that mean that if you do not play for some days when you are lets say infamy level 3 you will revert back to lv 2? otherwise a great new feature cant wait also scars sound interesting

You got it! You can't stay Infamous if ya don't play. Rest assured, your Infamy will only decrease by one point per day (currently). So this means if you gain 75 Infamy points ... it will take you nearly 2.5 months of not playing to lose those points. I believe you'll hold your own just fine. Who knows, maybe ol' Trench will unsheath his sword for a personal duel, if ya need the motivation, whatcha' say?

Sounds like a reason for people to play more often!

I'm really anticipating this to be quite the update - the one that might just bring us out of the dog days of PvP and Privateering. I'm going to be as patient as possible, as I know this is going to be a hefty one - and kudos to Disney for finally answering the prayers of many disgruntled fighters and sailors alike!

I'm really looking forward to this update, too. I'm glad that Disney's taking their time with this one, and that they're also addressing our concerns over cheaters. I was pretty worried about that. ._.

Anyways... when this comes out, I intend to both become a Master of War and to live up to my "title" as Admiral Savvy.

I am very much looking forward to this! I am so excited to finally display my skill to all of my friends (and enemies). I was, however a little bumbed to see that my infamy goes down whenever I don't play. Does that mean that I have to PvP/Privateer to not lose the points, or do I just have to log in to not lose my points?

I'd also like to vote that once you rank up, you are safe on that rank, though your points can be deducted to zero on that particular rep bar, but you shouldn't go down in levels themselves. Either way, great job Potco! Another GREAT update!
