There was a problem Verifying the Account ID.
When I log on to POTCO on one of my computers, it always says, "There was a problem Verifying the Account ID." I have tried this on the launcher and the browser coming up with the same response EVERY time. I type in my username and password and it takes just a second to load that annoying message. But I do know I have the right Account ID and password, because I have succesfully logged onto my account on another computer. If you have experienced this annoying issue, please post, or if you have a suggestion, I'd like to hear that too.

Try restarting your computer, and then logging in. Never hurts.
If that doesn't work, then try changing your password. After that, try logging in with the new one and see what happens. |

Tried but no good. Also, it is not just my account. I've tried with my secondary account and my brother and sister have tried.

Hows your internet connection? Maybe try disconnecting from it and then reconnecting? Probably won't do any good, but it never hurts...
If that doesn't work I would just wait a few hours (egad! A few hours without POTCO! xD) and see if that works out. |

this has been going on for a month, and my connection is excellent. I can use the internet and everything, and all sites work except POTCO. Here is one thing I forgot to include, that computer was recently infected with a virus so that might have something to do with it but I am not sure. Another thing is, can a Firewall block the laucher? I might have to check that.

I am honestly no good with computers xD
I'm not the best person to ask. I just have the most basic suggestions, but it could be the virus. |

Have you identified the type of virus if it was a Trojan horse the person probably looked at your acount info and changed the password in which case I recommend you contact Disney account services and find out if he changed your username too if so you may need to make a new account and yes im a computer geek

Your firewall may be blocking the launcher from accessing the internet. To see if this is the case, try turning off your firewall (and make sure the built in Window's firewall is disabled, both should not be on at the same time) and then starting the launcher. Turn your firewall back on after the test.
If it worked, you need to add the file launcher1.exe (in the game's folder) to your firewall's list of trusted programs or whatever your firewall calls it. While there, add pirates_online.exe to it as well (check your firewall's help for instructions on how to do that, they all go about it differently) If it did not work try this: in the game folder, delete the cache folder and the file phase_1.mf and then restart the launcher. This should force it to download and reinstall the core files. If it still fails, try one more time to make sure you are using the freshly downloaded files. If it still does not work, you should try to uninstall and reinstall the game. |
