The Crimson Era
The Crimson Era November 2010 Welcome to The Crimson Era guild forum thread. Here you may find all information pertaining to the guild including updates on events, gatherings, and general content. This restoration is the continuance of its former predecessors, the Crimson Squad and –Crimson Squad- guilds, that date back to February of 2008. It is in the hope of all who sail under the red banner to restore the former legacies that have haunted and plagued these shores for the past two years. Embark on your journey with the Crimson Pirateers and browse our online arsenal to discover the true history and dark secrets of the guild. PIRATE CODEX The Crimson Era guild strives to promote a fun and safe environment for its members and conducts a family based ruling system to maintain its mission statement and policies. The following guidelines have been set down by the guild master in order to ensure the cooperation and continuity of the Crimson Squad legacy in the game. I - Respect your fellow mates • Be mindful of your guild members’ whereabouts. Please request to "tp" (teleport) before going to that member. • When asking for help, ask, don't demand, the assistance of fellow guild mates and wait for a response. • Respect the possessions of your fellow members. Remember, while aboard a ship, the captain reserves the right to passengers and helm. • Please refrain from kill stealing. If a member has traveled to a designated site, ask their permission for the grounds. If you need a specific enemy, please state so. II - Applications & Guild entry • Every member retains the right to an 'officer' or 'veteran member' position. These roles are demanding and will be given accordingly. Therefore, please refrain from asking for a promotion. • Every member has the right to a site account, however these rights will be reflected upon game and chat status. • No member will be denied access into the guild based on age, level, or account status. Only game affiliation and maturity level. III - Chat Guidelines • The guild chat, regardless of game or site, is not the place for temper tantrums and random outbursts. If you need to take a break, log off and come back later. • Absolutely no spamming will be tolerated. This includes the use of intentional caps lock, unnecessary repetition of symbols, or random assortments of letters. IV - Game Conduct • The guild will not tolerate or accept any member’s third-party forms of leveling, ranking, or use in game. • Remember you are dealing with pirates and not all you cross will be kind and courteous. Please refrain from engaging in taunting activity or actions deemed as rude or mean behavior as to instigate unwanted relations. • Please refrain from causing or creating any drama in or for the guild. Depending on the severity of the circumstances, members may be subject to guild suspension or removal. The rules of the guild are subject to change based on their necessity or demand. GUILD SYSTEMS This here is a little insight into the fundamental systems that run and function throughout the guild. Such systems include the roles and responsibilities of the Officer, Veteran Member, Member expectations, and the policies to which we revolve around. Roles of the Officer - The roles for an officer will vary. With the general expectations of rule enforcement, guild management, and assisting fellow players, the officer status serves as an aid under the Guildmaster's agenda. The “Shadow System” - Under unanimous agreement, the Guildmaster and Officers of The Crimson Era have established what has come to be known as “The Shadow System” where the Officers act as mere shadows to the members. This system was first introduced to tackle the challenge of large scale communication throughout the guild. Each officer has been assigned to a specific letter or set of letters, depending on Officer count, to which they are responsible for. Each officer will be provided with a Veteran Member of their choice to assist them in these roles, much like an Officer to Guildmaster. These letters correspond to the names of members within the guild and are tasked with: - Hosting guild meetings with their parties - These members have read and agreed to the rules - Receiving member feedback and getting their ideas (We want everyone to have a voice in the guild!) This system, however, does not limit Officers to their general responsibilities and capabilities. Roles of the Veteran Member - A veteran member is the first step to becoming an officer. The veteran member will have a partial amount of the officer's responsibilities and will be promoted based on the approval of each officer and finalized by the Guildmaster. The requirements for this role would include a good amount of time spent within the guild, displayed attitude, and overall merit. Levels should range from 30+ and have their chat status set to 'Speed Chat'. Member Expectations - Upon joining, each member is encouraged to register for the guild site and view the rules so there are no misunderstandings that could present themselves in the future. We circulate our guild and systematically run based on family qualities and the cooperation put forth by each member. All members of the guild are expected to be polite, mature, and dedicated to the guild. APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP If you’re interested in becoming a part of the Crimson family, there are a few ways in which you may join. Applying through POF: Please leave a comment below providing the player’s name in which you wish to join, (separate by commas if necessary), their level(s), and previous guild – if affiliated with one. A representing guild member on the Forums will be with you shortly. Applying through csgo: “csgo” is the guild’s online site. You may visit us by going to http://csgo.webs.com and selecting the Apply link, or by clicking here. Ahoy Mates!
Thar only be 20 days until the launch of The Crimson Era's Christmas Ball and we wanted to give the opportunity to those who wish to attend the information regarding the event. This can be found by clicking here and posting your name and that of your guests who are planning or interested in coming. We are hoping to contact a Game Master and request their presence as this will be quite the gathering of fine and noble pirates. Unfortunately due to complications in the scheduling of the Christmas Ball, the event has been rescheduled to December 18th. The same details are in effect (time, place) and we apologize for the inconveniences this may have caused. All members who have RSVPed to the Christmas Ball thread will receive a private message from an officer of the guild. - Crim |
