SEVERE Crashes lately

Hello!

Anyone else experiencing almost constant laggy crashes? I know its not my internet, as nothing has changed there - and Im on a new computer with system specs WELL over whats needed - yet, the game starts to lag, and then crashes. Not a 'you've been disconnected' - just a Screen freezes, and the program closes.

Am I the only one? I contacted big D, who just told me it was my connection - the same connections Ive been playing on trouble free for two years, and the same connection my other half plays on along WITH me. =/

This is clearly a game issue, yet they maintain it is not.

Am I the ONLY one going through this?? Its almost unplayable!!! Play, crash. Log back on, run, crash. Change from Direct X to to OpenGL, log on, crash.

JUST checked for updated drivers after the issue - NO improvements. HELP!

I've been getting a lot of the lag and freezeups but not crashing. A lot of my friends have been experiencing those severe crashes you spoke of.

Yes, this has been happening to me as well.
I'll freeze and/or sometimes it will crash altogether.
Do you have Windows 7? I think that's what my problem has to do with sometimes.

I've had this a lot. No matter how many bug reports I get, they keep saying to set my graphics to the lowest setting, when I've already done that several times..

I've had this happen to me a lot recently, I think it first started with the inventory, if not, it was shortly after. I very seriously doubt that this has to deal with anyone having connection problems, especially since we never had these issues before. Kinda sad that they try to blame the problem on their players, rather than try to find the problem..

Igor ask if running win 7 in compatibility mode? Igor say Helga have 7 and made work better running in XP compatibility mode.

The lag started for me at the fishing update. I noticed slightly more lag in game play, and loading screens seemed to take slightly longer.

Now, after Raven's Cove, significantly noticeable lag, however not enough to really make me not able to play. And loading screens are taking AT LEAST twice as long as before.

I am running on the same computer, same internet, same everything. Nothing has changed.

Yeah, nothing changed for me either - BUT I did try the 'run in compatibility mode' and it SEEMS to be a noticeable improvement. =D THANKS to you all for suggesting it! Id HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who is having issues - its worth a try!
