It really depends on the guilds mate. The guilds on here are of the more organized sort. Some of us will get together just to chat and level and have fun, others are there to rank, some are all about guild unity. Of course, that's here. There's the other side where things are kind of organized to not organized at all, it's just a title under your name, where people don't say hi and don't even know each other. But the guilds I'm in are serious enough, and that's about all I can give ya.

There are many different types of the guilds in the Caribbean. Some are just a guild for the sake of having a guild - not very interactive with each other, quite disorganized, and so forth. And on the opposite side of the spectrum, there can be guilds that run a pretty tight ship - don't do this, don't do that, be sure to do this, don't hang out with him, do hang out with her - it really varies.
The majority of the guilds you see on here are basically caught in the middle. They have a set hierarchy of Officers and such, they establish themselves a social community in their guild, either by rules, having parties, or both. The guilds here are pretty much the conservative guilds, you can say - friendly and relaxed, yet at the same time, keep order within their guild. I try to keep my guild as "serious-less" (couldn't come up with a good word, so I made one up - LOL) as possible. When our members come on, we say hi, we talk, we fool around, play games, etc. etc. Of course, just because your not as serious about the game as others, doesn't mean you can't be organized. My guild, as you can see, has a guild subforum, as well as a private guild site, guild avatars, a very strict system of rules and guidelines, and all that hullabaloo. But really, the only thing that you can consider "serious" is the rules and guidelines - the subforum and site are just for convenience, and the avatars and such are just to say that "I'm proud to be a Partner in Crime!" |
