POTCO down Again!
[RANT]
Well, bugger me sideways with smelly socks on! 3rd time in 3 weeks we have the 'We are sorry to say' sign up on the game! This really is turning into something of a joke around our house. Disney, if you ever read this forum, Get You Act Together, this level of service falls below even the most usless of SLA's and to be frank it is getting to the point where at least 4 paying accounts I know of are thinking of walking away until you can get things sorted out, if you can. [/RANT] Advice to players still loggedin, if there are any left, stay online and pray.

According to the Phase Files the Kraken is well developed and probably ready to go too

No they can't do that. ALWAYS test first. Unless you want live resets happening to game.

Dog is right. As much as the content is wanted on Live, it's gotta go to Test first. That is the entire purpose of having a Test server, so the players can try to help Disney remove as many bugs as possible prior to the Live server experiencing the update. Imagine if the inventory was added without testing, a mass reset on Live would result in a lot of the game quitting.

I'm glad I saw this before I tried to change pirates. Hopefully they're doing something constructive.. such as fixing the leaderboards and directory..

With the outages we have been having of late I wonder if some retroactive testing is needed to smotth out what we already have on offer?
Maybe time for some formalised UAT strucutre to put in place with some of the test users, a clear set test guidelines and a stringent reporting process. Hell, we had this in place 25 years ago when games went into Beta with test users as well as allowing for a general 'beat it to death' testing cycle. With the game being written in Python it's not like there are no experienced test code authors knocking around is it now! Quote:

As Much as I wish it weren't true, dog and Sven are right, the Kraken and Fishing must go to test before Open. If it didin't it kinda kills the whole point of having a test server.

I believe everything should go to test before live, and I have proof that disney put something on live before test. Del can back me up on this... remember when the powder keg runners first came out? There was a HUGE glitch on live, and nobody, not even the test server pirates had seen such an enemy. Time will tell if The Mouse will put this on live before test.

Also, if it's anything like the Dolls and Cannon Defense, they got them de-bugged and ready to go rather quickly, Fishing might be the same. (by the way, I find it funny that there are 5 members and 25 guests viewing this forum... haha)

Just got my connection wiped out. Can't get back in now. In fact my whole entire connection went out. Wi-fi was still on though so DISNEY!!!
