Which weapon is better?
In my weapon set I notice I have 2 weapons of the same type, different skills, but same attack power. I was just wondering which one others thought were better.
For now, this is only question. Both 61 attack. Pirate Blunderbuss-Rare .................Swashbuckler Blunderbuss-Rare Stun Shot Rank 2 ...................................Healing Boost Rank 2 Take Aim Boost 2 ....................................Scattershot Boost 2 Venom Shot Boost 1 ..............................Sharpshooter Boost 2 These are my current skills, without these weapons, that these weapons would affect. Shoot Rank 2 Take Aim Rank 2 Venom Shot Rank 2 Sharpshooter Rank 4 Last edited by J.T.; 06-04-2010 at 04:14 AM.. |

It depends on your stats, and what kind of skill points you have on what. If you are like me, a higher level, with venom shot and take aim maxxed, I would go with the pirate blunderbuss. If you are a lower level that will maiinly use lead shot, the healing and boosts on the swashbuckler blunderbuss will probably seem more useful. Have you tested them each for a while to see which one you prefer using? If you don't find one to be a lot better than the other, I would keep both.

Ok, i'll come back later and edit it with my level, right now 47 notoriety with mastered gun, and with the skill points on each skill.

IMO, my favorite is the Swashbuckler's because of the sharpshooter boost.

Not a fan of using Blunderbuss weapons all the time. But in MOI, I would have a hard time choosing between both. I have both ATM in game, but do not really care for them much. It does seem that Pirates Blunderbuss is good for slowing down enemies. But on the other hand, you are almost guaranteed a good hit on your enemy with the Swashbuckler Blunderbuss. It all comes down to what the PoP said earlier. (Not to be confused with the Prince of Persia.) It mostly deals with what your weapon skill stats are.

If you would keep just one, I'd go with the Swashbuckler for the Healing Boost. On the Pirate, the Stun Shot takes forever to charge.

I would say Swashbuckler because of the scatter shot.

The blunder is good at solo invasions. I think that both are good its just going to be a matter of taste.

I use the Pirate Blunderbuss for quick ko's..and I have them all...love the healing on a couple of my swords but as I knock out even thralls in two hits with PB I dont need it on blunder...I too not too fond of blunders but like the power....and learned to run back or around as loading makes that less burdensome....from Dark to the Thralls if you want a quick takedown and you are alone the PB is it. I keep one of each weapon que'd up tho ...weapon variety is the spice of pirateylife.

I'd probably go with the Swashbuckler because of the scattershot and heal boost.

Well, i'm going with Swashbucklers, last time I remember I used stun shot it didn't do to much on an invasion enemy, and i don't use blunderbuss much anymore anyway since I got my famed sabre.

I'd prefer Swashbucker, the healing boost helps emensly, still carry tonics, so you can face harder enemies and you have to wait less time between fighting enemies because you can easily heal and go. Sharp Shooter is also helpful to make every shot meaningful.

Well, I ended up selling both cause a few days ago I got lucky at Darkhart and found the Buccaneer's Blunderbuss, famed version of Swashbuckler's.

I have all three and I do not see much difference between them because of the way my skill points are distributed. But I do prefer the healing boost over the stun shot.
