This really erks me, does it erk you?
Ok, most of us, even ones that aren't higher level pirates, know that the Silver Bullet affects only undead enemies.
So, why does it not affect stumps, scorpions, alligators, and wasps? Oh wait because they're alive. But wait, they look dead! Why is it that the look of an enemy contradicts what one of our amo shots does to it? I don't understand! During beta all animals looked alive. Wasps looked... beautiful, sort of. So did scorpions and alligators. Now they're gray, and undead. But why? Why do they need to look undead, yet not be affected by an silver bullet like the amo says it is? This isn't a rant, I just want to know if anyone else finds this odd. I know it's not a bug, because alligators were alive during one of the updates a while back, and stayed that way for a while, but when another update hit live, they looked undead again. I'm just trying to understand this whole contradiction in the game. |

I'm not really erked by this. Silver shot effects players in PvP, Jolly Roger, Jollys' army, and a few other enemies. The fact that those enemies are really dead/undead means they fit into the category. Depending on graphics, enemies can look as "alive" as can be for this game. Just because something looks dead doesn't mean it has to be affected by silver, and vice-versa.
With my graphics the enemies look okay.. but I still get what you're saying. Still, everyone has different graphics. We just have to realize that, sometimes they can't make something look alive, or dead, so we just have to assume what is given. |

..mebbe developers use less detail on some things to lessen the already horrendous lag...have you changed your graphics settings to the best to see what happens?....I do it on quiet servers, and I can really tell a difference,,,even see things never could on low or medium res...

I agree. It is weird. But remember, these creatures were once living ( As seen in Beta ). Jolly Roger takes control over them, and then they're, well, living dead - they're dead, but still alive, if you can understand that. However, I think Silver Shot should do a little more damage since they have that "dead" part of them.

Sven, it's not the graphics, it's the textures.
The alligators are grey, am I right? Look closely at them. You can see the skin is grey, and the eyes look very much dead. In the old update making the alligators alive they were bright green, with eyes that looked alive, and nice looking "alive" tounges. I'm just confused that there's a jolly roger sign by they're HP when you fight them, but it's impossible to get a boost from the silver shot. It's not necessarily that it's important, it's just strange when something in the game complete contradicts something else. This, IMO, is as bad as Jolly Roger being called Davy Jones. |

Personally, I'm more irked by it than erked by it.

Irks is spelled with an I not an e. Yes it is kind of odd.
