War Frigate or War Galleon?

Which is better: War Galleon or War Frigate? I don't know which I should buy.

It depends really on what kind of sailor you are. Theres a lot of pros and cons to both ships, really.

A War Galleon is basically a ship to be used for plundering, due to its massive cargo, and its large amount of broadsides. With it, you'll more-than-likely find yourself sailing solo, but at the same time, its great for times when you wanna gather your friends or guild for a plunder run. Treasure Sense and a War Galleon will fill up your pockets mighty quickly. However, the War Galleon is a considerably large and slow ship, so its an easy target for most ships.

On the other hand, the War Frigate is basically the hybrid of the other two War Ships, notable for its sheer strength, and being great for crews. One of the most notable, major benefits of the War Frigate is the front cannons off of the bow. Also, its a little faster than the War Galleon, and better at dodging than the War Galleon. Still, it holds less cargo than the War Galleon, so your gold intake won't be as massive.

In my opinion, you should go for the War Galleon first. That way, by the time you get out and about in the Caribbean, plundering everything in sight, you should amount enough gold to then later buy a War Frigate. Basically a win win situation

As Del said It realy depends on how you sail. If you are the type of person that sails untill your cargo is full then go with the War Galleon. If you are the type of captain that goes out realy fast with a crew just too kill anything in sight then save for the War Frigate.

Now what Del also said adout getting War Galleon for the high cargo so you can get the War Frigate fast. That is harder then it seems depending what lvl you are. At lvl 35 I did the same thing and it took a while even with the high cargo of a War Galleon. Even tho now the War Galleon has a higher cargo then it did back in my day,Lol,It would still take a while.

I say get the War Frigate because of the new updates. With the updates comeing out you will get aloy of gold by just selling the clothing and the weapons you will plunder. Hope this helps mate, Good Luck with your decision and Happy Pirateing =D.

I would take a War Sloop before either, but then, that's just me. I love to run around behind large, clumsy ships, firing at their backs and getting just out of range before retaliation comes. If you want to meet in-game, and want a few tips on sloops... well, let's just say I could show you how to sink vanguards with nothing but a Light Sloop's broadsides. Great fun really...

With a light sloops broadsides?????? Knowing that my sailing level is 18 I don't think I could pull that off lol.

I think the War Frigate would be better to get because working straight towards 60,000 for the War Frigate, and using IT to get the gold for the War Galleon is much easier than working for 40,000 just to buy something to work for 60,000.

Here's what I do:

I work hard to get the 60,000 gold coins needed for the War Frigate, and use the War Frigate to get the 40,000 for the War Galleon, and use the War Galleon to get the 20,000 for the War Sloop, or use the War Frigate to get the 60,000 for both the War Galleon and War Sloop. To me that's just quicker. I don't understand why people buy the War Galleon first, oher than because of it's high cargo capacity.
