Yes its posible to fight with him. You can use cannons or attack with pistol.

Nobody has mentioned seeing the kraken in the game yet. If they had, I'm sure someone would have posted it in the helm section.

I think it will be something like QUEST MOB. You will have to kill it. In dead mans chest movie Jack was swiming to an island. What island it was? If we find island we'll find octopus!
