Annoying Chat..
Don't know if there is a thread on this already, but does anyone else find it both annoying and inconvenient to have certain chat not go through.
Granted they like to filter out words and replace them with arrr but I find lately chat isn't going through completely. It can be frustrating to say something and then wonder if it even went through. It would be nice if they gave you some kind of message 'Chat was not sent' or 'chat did not go through' so you could at least retype it and edit it a little. Sorry, just had to share me frustrations...  (And might I add that I have open chat, so this isn't a chat settings issue. I don't know what it is actually... Anyone else have this problem sometimes?) |

Aye...leaves ya wondering why no one responded. I keep firing me writers when actually it's not really their fault...lolz

YES!
Sometimes my chat doesn't appear in my chat window and I have no idea if the recipient received it. Other times it doesn't matter who says what it lists the same person. Rememebr to REPORT these issues.

Yea they really need to fix that. Either replace the word with ***** or whatever or possibly send you a note saying it didnt go through

This is where we can benifit from using two computers with both pirates in the same guild and even same crew. The second pirate doesn't have to be a paid member, basic works. I do this and at least this way I can see if a guild chat I do doesn't go through. And sometimes it is as clean as it can ever be with no mention of city, states, foul language, and even any kind of fruit. Yes simple words in your chat such as cherry orange and strawberry will cause a chat to not go through.

I hate the chat problems myself too. I keep asking "chat filter got me?" if I don't get a response.

Yes this is very annoying. When a whisper doesn't show on the screen it usually goes through in my experience, but not always.
The biggest problem with chat I've had recently is when I try to whisper to someone it doesn't go to whisper but rather to local or guild chat depending on which was used last. |

I am wondering if you can go scroll back through chats while in session. Is this a bug or something by design?

Yes, Dog, you can. The chat window can be "maximized" and there is an arrow bar on the right (like in your journal) that you can use to read back through all the chat that occured since you logged in that session.
Whiper is the worst, if you're not friends with the pirate, you cant see what you typed. grrr |
