Visit a Jeweler - Sgt. Bingham

I am stuck on this part of the Gordon Greer Quest.

The task was to "Visit Jeweler Smithy in Smithy's Jewelry Shoppe on Port Royal."

It is marked "Complete" and says I should "Return to Sgt. Bingham." I follow the beacon to him and when I talk to him he says, "Sorry, I've got nothing for you."

It seems I am stuck in a bug. Help.

Have you tried going back to Jeweler Smitty?

Thank you for the suggestion. I returned to the jeweler and talked to the man down the steps. That worked. I must have only talked to the woman before.

It is strange that the game was sending me to the Sgt. instead of to the jeweler.

this has happened to me......nice to see im not the only one...yet going back to the person did not work for me!.. it happened to my first test character on doc grog, and on my level 31 on live on the gunner quest, now i can not advance on either of those characters! its not such a big deal as the test one as hes level 10 and i adbandoned him and since then have a level 31 on test but im disapointed that i wont be able to get leadership skill on Reece or if we ever get an extension of the story line i wont be able to do it on that character. i have submitted numerous bug reports but since december or janurary it hasnt been fixed.

Happened to me on a John Smith quest. Glad you figured it out.
