Lag on Privateering?
Has anyone noticed that at times when in privateering, especially when ready to blast a light sloop to bits. That there is a distinct lapse and the hapless foe is able to sail away? Or in some cases, able to sail away and er stops? I have heard that this is a glitch used by some or is this indeed a lag on the server? I have seen many ships whilst in privateering all being suddenly 'bombed out' with 2-3 ships left instead of 20!?

This problem seems to just be lag.
I have heard that there is a glitch that does this but I don't know of any real proof of it. It could be the speed glitch, it makes your ship move much faster. When someone does speed glitch it makes the lag a lot worse. |

This was the reason I never bothered to do ship PVP because these war frigates always group up on one ship and really whats the point?

Not sure
I'm not exactly sure what you are describing but next time you are on an SVS ship and you are the captain try this. Take your game out of full screen mode so that there is windows box around the game. You can tell because in the right top corner there are the usual minus, box in box and red X. OK so while you are sailing use the mouse to place the cursor over the top of this box in the top middle so as not to push any of the buttons to the right by accident and right click and hold down the mouse button. You ship should pause in place. After a few seconds let go, your ship should lurch forward. To everyone else it appears your ship jumped from one place to another. Its a glitch and its not new. You can also left click the bar at the top but not sure what that will do. This is explained better in several other threads so search the forum for more clear info.
