Well, I was gonna archive this thread, but was told not to. Figured that SOMEONE would have a great item to add following the holiday feasting. I'll start with the Pineapple casserole/topping that goes with the ham, the Strawberry creamcheese pretzel salad, and the Au Gratin potatoes.
Dessert is homemade coconut cream pie!

You haven't had a feast until you've had an MD style Christmas dinner, complete with oysters, shrimp and crab dip. Yum!

We talkin Christmas dinner now? Groovin.
This year I'm going Italian (do a different country every year) Starting with Italian Sausage stuffed mushrooms, shrimp, and Fontina & marinara Brucheta. follow that with some Manicotti. Chase that down with Ham, a Green Bean, Artichoke and tomato salad marinated with italian seasonings and roasted garlic mashed poratoes. Several glasses of vino later, we're having Tiramisu and Baci D'Alassino..... If I wake up the day after, I'll let you know how it went

We have roast beef sandwiches every Christmas Eve.... a roast with onions and garlic simmered for hours til it falls apart in the pan. Good beefy juice...toasted rolls... pepper jack cheese.
My grandmother always served it Christmas eve at her house.. a way to feed a large group of people quickly so we could laugh and have a good time opening family presents. Lol.. it's the middle of the night at work... and I'm really hungry. Oh.. and cinnamon rolls.. both of my son's in law.. would rather have a pan of cinnamon rolls for their birthdays... than a gift card. (My great grandmother's recipe.)

The local Bruster's Ice Cream shop has just started something new. Every Tuesday, if you bring your own banana to the shop, they will make you a Banana Split for $1.50. AND you get to pick the 3 flavors of ice cream!
Standard toppings, of course.
