That is flatly incorrect. The war galleon has more broadsides and a better hull, to take down many more targets faster and safer than you can in a war frigate. Their only drawback is that in SvS, their "hit box" is larger than Cuba.

If you want more sailing rep, use the war galleon. If you want more cannon rep, use the war galleon. If you want more exotic targets, use the war galleon. If you want more plunder while doing any of those things, use the war galleon.

If you want to show off saying you own the most expensive boat in the game, use the war frigate. But do confess that the war galleon is WHY you were able to afford it. :-)

I never owned a War Galleon first - always the War Frigate bought diredctly from owning a frigate

Now I do own War Galleons, just to say I own them. But I don't owe them any credit to my owning a WF

Now - as I've said before, my reasons for the WF are not of money or power, I just like the look of them (I am so impratical LOL )... so Edward's and Zeps points are valid for those arguements (though I am a bit of a power freak so I still use my WF for its better hull / target size).

A WG is much better because it can do more damage on a broadside and can hold more booty.

Hay man!

Double Gold Days: WF and a crew of five, PDF/Outcast - launch, sink ships, port, repeat
Sailing alone: WG, PDF/Outcast - launch, sink ships, port, repeat
Sailing with a crew just let them level cannons: WF, go to area where their skill levels are best suited - launch, sink ships, port, repeat
Privateering: WS - I like the war sloop for SvS because of low profile, speed and maneuvaribility. Only drawback is no forward firing cannons.

LOL! That is certainly easy to understand! My suggestion is to try other peoples ships and see which you like to drive best. If you don't like driving it, why own it? It shouldn't be too hard to get a chance to try someone else's ship. I've been on several crews where the captain has begged for someone to give them a break from driving. Also if you explain your situation it should be easy to find a friend or guild member to give you a chance to test drive.

You could also try the smaller versions of each. If you like a regular frigate you'll love a war frigate and conversely, if you like a reg. galleon you'll love the war galleon.

If you haven't seen it yet here is a link to the stats of all the different ships:

http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/in...hips#Ship_Data

When reading these stats be aware of a couple of things. One is that "Speed Sail Points" does not refer to the speed of the ship but rather the hit points for the sail. It seems a lot of people make that mistake. The other is that these stats do not tell the whole story. They tell you nothing about the speed and maneuverability of the ship nor do they tell you how big of a target the ship presents. These factors are just as important as the factors enumerated in the chart.

So try them out and see which fits your sailing style and fighting style. That's the best ship for you. The best ship for me or anyone else is irrelevant.

On Saturday my lv38 with 5 skill points in treasure sense with crew (2 lv40's, 2 at lv36/37) pulled over 19k. On Sunday I used my lv40 with 5 skill points in treasure sense and the same crew pulled over 20k. Then I lost it all at the poker table on PDF to one of my little pirates.

edit: My little pirate will only have 1 point in treasure sense. He's being built for SvS.

Depends on what you like to do. War frigates are good to have if you are a crew person. War galleons are good to have if you are a loner.
