Talk Like a Pirate Day GM Event

It amazes me how people post about what Disney don't do and how disappointed they are with what has been brought to the game so far and yet are still prepared to pay their fees and play the game. If you are all that disheartened why not leave and play something else. I think what we get for our money is jolly good value for money. Its about £52 anually here which is a POUND A WEEK to play 24 hours a day if you wish! Baaaaaaaargain!! (what's that like just over a dollar??)

I for one love this game, love the GM events especially, which are ROLE PLAYING events, so going along and moaning about things that arent relevant is going to get you nowhere and tell you nothing. Captain walter told us (as Jeanne said) the curse WONT be the same this year but will be much bigger and emphasized sharpening your cutlass, and Jolly Roger himself would be involved.

I havent finished the quest on my main pirate but have on my second to see what difference it makes when the time comes, as we were told the amount of people who finish the quest will make a difference to the outcome and what happens, which adds another twist.

And so what if the kraken doesn't make an appearance til next year. I'm sure in the meantime there will be more than enough coming to satisfy our pirate needs....Just you have a little faith in Disney. They will deliver, but in their own good time, we just have to be patient. And POTCO's not just about playing the game, it's about having fellowship with yer mates, making new friends and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Just because I love the game and my guild and friends Ive made playing the game does not automatically mean I have to be happy with the direction or timing of the way D chooses to manage the game. I still play regularly and plan to continue to do so, and I do not go to the GM events and act disruptive, not sure where that came from. Just because Im not kissing the ground Capt Walter walks on and telling him what a great job they are doing does not mean I should quit playing POTCO. D keeps saying that they are working on what players have requested or complained about, lag and other thing mentioned in the newsletter, so its time they heard from those of us that want a new story line more than all the latest updates put together.

Just wanted to revisit this now that the end of the year is drawing near and what do ya know D gave us the invasions instead of the muertes moon but outside of that they really have dropped the ball on bringing new content to the game my grade for POTCO year2 F!

We had 3 days of the Muertos moon over Halloween. We still have the invasions and more coming to Tortuga this week. Thanks for revisiting this.

PS. I give D a B+ this year for all the hard work they have put into this game. 2009 saw a ton of changes to our Caribbean world - sorry none of it meant anything to you. Fair winds and good plundering to you.
