A great time to meet new friends and guildmates, the GM's, along with old friends and guildmates.

Free hat could only be obtained by few by selling a hat or two.
Not all the servers had their bonfires lit.
Tons of pirates on servers where the bonfires were lit caused lag.
Delmaria Darkskull had nobody to talk to today and was left screaming into the bonfire wood...... uh, don't pay attention to that one.

Basically between the good and the bad, it was equally balanced, so in my opinion, it was Ok.

I am going to go more towards bad. We had two week ends of gm's promoting what basically came down to another hat (done before) with inventory issues (done before). As well as the pork 2000 heal, which yes is nice to have.

Festival, with a group of pirates, where the heck is the rum, I was ready to go stagger off and pass out in the pig troff.

Talk of curse, Harkaway, Jolly Roger, Kraken, custom ships, pets, upgrade weapons, level cap, and many other things, I am ready for something a bit more.

Apparently curse did hit a few limited servers etc, but with nothing going on, how many were ever at some of these things when just a few happen, over several days, and no clue.

I enjoyed myself except for the abominable lag.

The pork tonic came in mighty handy while fighting bosses. Met some new friends and recruited a new guild member for the Parrotheads guild, so I had a good time all in all.

Rather good, though as I write this, I'm a little teeved. It's only about 10 Eastern, and it's still the 30th--my fourth pirate who I went through alotta effort to creat didn't get that bandana. (Just started this pirate--not really in need of 2000 HP tonics.)

I think the whole thing went rather well.

Well the tonics were useful, the fires on the beach were something new to look at for 5 mins, if you found a server they were lit on.
I have heard of no contests, no prizes, no nothing that I had thought was mentioned that actually took place.
I personally do not even think this event went off at all like Disney had intended.

A few founders I know got bombarded with questions/complaints, etc. and they had to change servers just so they could enjoy the game.
I doubt this was Disneys intention.

I filed complaints about the inventory issue on friday (noone was available on TG).

I think the unfortunate situation is they were short handed for the holiday, and rushed things, they meant to make the bandana automatic, but forgot and did it the regular standard way at the last minute, basically leaving the actual dedicated pirates in the cold.

They need to fix this bandana thing and offer it again next weekend.
They made good on the Double Gold server crashs depriving many, hopefully they will fix this injustice as well.

Thank you Disney for the Pork Tonics. I like the bandana as well. The bon fire and roasting spit were nice eye candy.

I'd like to say thank you to Capt. Walter as well. On Angassa server, he asked my co-GM Jade (Founder) to assist him and made a special point of interacting with the other Founders. He then had a great time with all of us that were there, including a foot race starting next to the musicians, around Tom's shack, passed Fabiola, and back to the roasting spit. It was funny to see so many pirates having a footrace. He was very pleasant and accommodating to most discussions, even though he did not answer update questions. Most of the pirates on at that time were there just having a good time and not yelling out silly questions. And when one basic level pirate politely asked if he could ask a question about the game, Capt. Walter was very courteous in his response that the day was for celebration, and that questions would be limited to the Founder's Feast.

We then went to Andoso(?) where both Capt. Walter and Xavier Hench showed up. Threre was more merriment and another footrace.


All in all, I had a good time. It was fun to have so much interaction with the Host GM's and for them to really join in the merriment and have such a good time with the members. I do think having to sell items to get the bandana was a pain, but it is what it is.

they took everything down by 23:00 mountain... it was really fast... not only did disney has the bandana issue, they also increased the fat and cholesterol of our pirates...

Rackat, that was such a lovely way to tell us all that you had alot of fun on founder's day. I wish I had known where you were, so I could have enjoyed the day for what it was, and just a note, even though I had to sell a couple of hats and 2 quest hats to get the bandana, I have to say it was worth it in the end.

All in all...

Not bad. Pork was a bit over done (the scene from Christmas vacation comes to mind-with the dry turkey!)
More rum was needed to wash it down.
Bandana was a nice souvenier.

Didn't meet anyone new (and to think my Pirate actually bathed for this event!?!)

I give it a solid 7.0 on the fun scale.

It was one of the better-done events no doubt, though, seeing as none of the other events were that elaborate, that may take the cake. Here's hoping for a white Christmas!

1 to 10 scale i give it a..... 3..... the bandana was a rip off u had to sell all ur quest hats to get it...the pork is nice but 4 a lvl 40 weapons max not that big a deal.....the curse never came the moon turn full w jollyimage in it but nothing ever happen...... never saw a GM any of the days and i was on everyday.................sent email got a standard reply thanks for ur input...
