I have unlimited access and can teleport there. When I start to run into the archway I get a message that says something like 'you are entering unlimeted acess area' then I disappear like I am teleporting somewhere and land in the water under the island. I cant do nothin after that and gotta exit. Is there anyone else having this problem? I looked for a post on this but didnt see one.

Aye matey. Ye be entering an area that will be limited to paying pirates. At this point, the island is closed and repels boarders by sending them to Davy Jones' locker under the island. Once ye step a peg leg onto the island, it be too late to alter course.

That happens to me too.

Maybe they are not finished with the island yet?

Must be high level enemies there.. hmm.

wow - happened to me too! Thought it was something I wasn't doing right although now I read what crystal said, it makes sense - I do recall reading somewhere that some areas would be for paying customers only although I would think they would want everything tested in beta... so maybe doom is right and it isn't finished - LOL - I'm confused! - at any rate mate, you are not alone!

Before the last patch, I walked the streets and did some exploring - not a sole was there, no buildings could be entered - a Town, a Market, a Castle/Fort with not a single guard. I never found it, but on another visit when I was under the town (in Davy Jones locker looking up), I did see a Cave as well with a back entrance to a second dock - Cave looked to be under the Castle/Fort.

That cave is on the back side of the island. There is a dock outside of it. Using a technique, I was able to get on that dock. But when you try to enter the cave, it also teleports you under the island with the 'unlimited' message.

I was able to get beyond the arch and wander the streets. Near the top at the buildings, there are multiple terrain holes that just drop you under the island. Nothing up there anyway...no NPCs or content. Just walls and path/courtyard.

I was once able to enter a card game there after I got sent to the water by using the L key but as soon as I tried to leave the tavern I got booted :P

You can use Shift+F3 to do alot of things in this game. I used it to get on the back dock and if you press it as you walk through the gate that normally teleports you out of there, you can get inside Kingshead and explore for yourself.

Shhhhhh!!!!!! And be careful of hitting shift+F2 (auto log off)

Thanks for the tip! I tried that whole "back dock" thing, and it worked. But in the
cave, instead of teleporting me under Kingshead, it just just a dead end for me.
Sigh.

There is this weird bug that allows you to run off a light frigate without technically
exiting the ship, so I went to Kingshead and got a great view of the city below.
Seems as if they are still building it (Hahah, durr!), so there is way more to come.

You can hold down shift and keep hitting F3 and you can go really high. If you do end up under the island use this method and it will bring you up to the street level. You can also use this method for quick escapes from any fort on any island.
