Holiday Events...

Sooo after the game update... one of the new things is:

Release Notes - November 18, 2008

* Added various holiday events
* Enemies are no longer appearing tiny
* Voodoo meter added to enemies' health display when engaged in battle with a Voodoo Doll using foe
* The Break Attunement effect caused by Dagger Asp and Throw Dirt now prevents enemy NPCs from casting voodoo hexes for 15 seconds
* Draining an enemy NPC's voodoo power to 0 with Hex Eater will now prevent it from casting spells for 10 seconds
* Various bug fixes for crashes and other show issues

Anyone have anything pop up in their journal or anything? Nothing is showing up on mine & no popup came up when I logged in similar to the Halloween Curse popup that showed up on every server u switched to...

I think the holiday events won't begin until Nov. 27th when the Founder's Feast begins.

The events are currently on the test server, but even there we have not seen any events at this time. (Although unless I've lost it, there is an abundance of candles that has popped up on the islands) If we find anything, it will probably be posted in the release notes thread or here.

I havent' seen anything as of yesterday on the test server either. And no Jack, you're not losing it, there are a lot of candles floating in the air...well, just the flames actually.

Actually, I think that's just a bug on Port Royal, since the same flames light the torches near the portals to different maps, but even in the taverns and other building s it seems like they've been tossed everywhere. Anyways, don't want to stray off topic, so I'll leave it at that.

I think ukebec is correct here as far as events on the open server.
The halloween curse popup's only appeared during the times the event was in progress. With the exception of the /zombie dance which would indicate that holiday code was put on the Open server before the event occurred as well.

Since they are seeing nothing on test... its all a big mystery.

I suspect just some added stuff on the shores, and maybe some founder only emotes? Stuff that they may not think requires debugging/testing.

Well, just found one new thing that should help us, don't know why I didn't try this before. /Holiday has the same effect as /Event, and here's the current standing from ingame about any holiday events and such...



... like Zep said, there may be emotes, but I haven't found any so far.
