My Guide To Leveling Staff
Ok, heres my little guild i used to level my staff.
Level 1-3: Go Into Misty Mire (located in Tortuga), Kill The Skeletons There. Level 4-10: Go To Kingshead and use Wither On The Group Of Veterans. Level 10-14: Go To Tormenta With a group of pirates and use your Wither and Flaming Skull. Level 14-25: Go To Kingshead By The jail and Kill the Assasains. Its not much but it got me to mastering my staff. |

For 14-25 I usually go to Tormenta near the urchinfists. Very effective with a group of 1-2 more people.

Everyone has their own way of doing things, but for me it is standing and working a skill not taking damage. It really amazes me how many people ask me how come I am not getting attacked when using blast, soul fray on three molusk.
I did a combo of skills on most the characters. Grenades and staff at kings, later just staff with flaming skull in the middle of the spawn. Hex eater on molusk and brinescum. With all the first level attacks on basically every skill with just one point, all the skills can be worked quite easily. I admit it, its the rum, makes me to lazy to have to move and use higher level attacks to kill something fast before I am killed. |

Any tips on 10-14 alone? As no-ones on when I'm on, and the cave in tormenta is normally empty

@Molly: I personally still was doing great at Kingshead. I went all the way to 18 with it.. now that they're gray to me, I'm trying out new stuff. Gonna check out those assassins (Thanks Molk!).
I just got my staff yesterday, and I'm already level 18.. all from using Kingshead in the open field. I guess I'm just a bit crazy, yea? lol |

I mastered my staff in two days. Got it from 12 to 21 in one day, 21 to mastered in the following day. I stayed in tormenta for a long time. For lvl 12-21 just used wither on urchinfists and molusks. Then 21-25 used flaming skull. I had the problem with no one being online to heal me so I got my first pirate on and healed myself. If you plan to use tormenta theres two great spots depending on what skill you want to use.

Being a level 40 now...having a very ruff time getting reps for me staff which is level 22+. Now I realize the importance of leveling weapons early on. I've been in Becketts' Quarry, Catacombs, Rat's Nest, Cutthorat, yes and even Tormenta on occasion...Me nades which is the other weapon I need to master have made it to 17...and fairly quickly since they were stagnant at level 6 forever. But me staff...EGADS!

I remained at Kingshead to like 20 or so. With the gray rep bumped up, it's actually rather efficient.

Got them with nades...but not staff. And I will definitely need back-up for leveling my staff with those guys. My staff barely makes a dent in their health...lol

My nades don't do any better. With Remington I went through all 40 siege and almost 30 explosives plus a few spells with my doll before he went down. Had someone healing through most of it.
Boarding high level flag ships helps build the staff too. Oddly perhaps, I find the staff one of the easier weapons to level, maybe because its my go to weapon for crowd control. |
