Quests - Cannot Go Any Further

I was searching through many posts today to see if I could find some information regarding some of the quests. Last week, I decided to start a secondary character since I have seen many individuals with different skills I didn't possess and weapons I could not longer utilize on my main character (i.e. pistol, cannon skills - grap shot, flaming skill, chain shot, etc). The other reason I started my secondary character was because of being stuck on some quests, which it seems like others have moved further on. Anyways, I thought I would start this thread with the hope of helping others and having a one stop place for quests which you can no longer go any further. Please let me know if anything is incorrect, or if there are other quests which you cannot go any further. Provide similar information as below and I will be sure to post in the first thread....

Weapon Unlock: Dagger (85% Complete)

Task: Recover a message from a Navy ship
Description: Recovery a message to governor Swann from a powerful Navy ship
Reward: 100 point Notoriety increase

This quest task seems like many others are currently stuck on also, I have seen some posts where people have sunk many Navy ships and still have not recovered the message. So, I will not comment any further until someone posts that they have received the message or completed this quest.

The Black Pearl (The List - Doc Grog): Gather Medicinal Ingredients (13 of 13 Items)
Task: Recover 5 entrails from a giant crab (Complete)
Description: Return to Doc Grogg
Reward: 100 point Notoriety increase

This quest says 81% completed, and I have finished collected 13 of 13 items which would be 100%. I also returned to Doc Grogg, and I receive the 100 point Notoriety increase but nothing else happens regarding this quest. I haven't seen too many posts regarding this and wondering if others are actually stuck at the same point. I was hoping with a secondary character I would move further ahead on this quest, but I am stuck in the same spot again.

I completed the Doc Grog quest, but it wiped out the other two people I had completed on the "Crew of the Black Pearl" quests. My advice is to not complete that yet and to move onto the others while a fix is made.

I'm on Doc Grog's quest when I gotta go in the graveyard to meet that guy that'll give me some grog for the Doc. I'm not stuck, but I dare not go on with all these messages about being stuck. I am also on the dagger quest but not going any further. Thank guys, I hope I'm not too late to get saved from quest freezing.

I am also stuck on Doc Grog, only mine says 13 of 13 and 100% complete. I have foolishly completed this quest 3 times on the same character now (due to bugs) and with this quest and the dagger quest unfinishable, I am unable to take on any new quests because I already have too many running. I'm totally stuck.

Completing a quest is a huge motivator. I find without a goal in sight I tend to log in, kill a few creatures and then log out due to boredom. I hope they fix this soon so we can see what happens next in the story.

Some believe this is a special ship of some higher value, that probably does not even exist yet, either way it seem no one has got this part of task done. I think with the publicity on here its getting, i'm sure the first person on here to get it, will definitely shout about it.

On second character, i wisely (or so i thought), chose hendery cutts as second crew member and was going to leave grog to last, however, on last bit of this task I got stuck in same fashion with fabiola. So still not got further on crew members list

And like you, am losing interest on playing further, as with no rewards looking to come my way, i'm not solely interested, in battleling away just to get weapon levels up.

Well I'm stuck on Doc Grog and the "powerful ship" quests too, and can't get another quest. At least I had my shps to sail; until 3 days ago. That's when all the shipwrights went on strike and I couldn't repair any of my ships, and I just got tired of buying new ones. I've decided to hunker down and wait it out rather that start all over; again.

Even the one on Padres del Fuego? He is always my ace-in-the-hole when the ones on PR and Tortuga don't want my gold.

I dont know if this is tied to it.. but I reported getting stuck to customer service and when i logged in last night my quest arc was reset all the way to Gibbs again.. I didnt play much after him so I dont know if it is fixed now. but I would just say send your issue into a CSR or find one in game and they can reset your pirate for you.. good luck

another buggy quest is where you try to get the materials for a tattoo, once you get all the materials, go back to the tattoo person, you get the notoriety points then she says, I can't do anything for you.

Well i found my tasks reset on one character, without asking, and even then its getting stuck on same places. it's beta i spose, maybe tasks will unlock maybe they wont, if not we'll all have to wait for full release version, when ever that will be.

I'm stuck on the Andrew Bowdash quest. I recovered the Black Chest, my journal says complete, return to Bowdash. When I return, I don't get anything new, and my journal still says return to Bowdash.

I'm in the same boat, pun intended....

It says I'm done with Doc Grog quest, but I can't turn it in or drop it.

Same story with Will Turner on the dagger quest.

Time to start new characters I guess?

Did you bribe her? I seem to remember I had to bribe her and was very confused as to why I didn't finish the quest until I'd done so.

I also lost a completed crew person. Part way through doing Doc Grog. It wiped out the 1 person I had completed. I have one more item to finish (the giant crabs) and like you, I have decided to not complete.

I'm just sticking with increasing my notoriety and other points as I wait for them to fix the bugs. So by the time they fix it, I'm ready to go! Plus, I don't have to worry about bugs.
