im working on shane mcgreeny's prison break quest and it's asking me to find a prison key from a navy guard, but i can't find a guard anywhere, much less a key. i had a thought to try the guards in the jails, but that didn't work. and my compass is just pointing to things at random and when i go to the place it points to, it points to another place. any help on this? where can i find the key?

Try Killing Navy guards at Fort charles a ray of light should point to 'em.

thats the thing... the light points to one place... when i go there, the light goes to where i was... i go back, and the light goes back to where it was the first time.

which one is fort charles... port royal or padres?

You may have to kill a few guards, but you will find one usually at the foot of the stairs at Fort charles, also there is always one fighting a sargaent in wicked thicket (at the bridge).

It will search for the key each time you kill one, and eventually youll find it.

i finished that quest in 15 min....
you have to kill a guard that is at the foot for fort charles and ignore the compass pointer it is a bit glitched...

In tortuga, there is a guard in the room right next to the main entrance into the city, to the left of the gateway.
