Are AMD computers compatible with POTC Online?

I am currently looking for a new desktop computer, but
I can not decide which processor to pick. An AMD processor
is nice and cheap, but it does not last as long as a Pentium
core processor, which is way more expensive. I'm also
hesitating on the AMD processor because the system
specs for POTC Online asks for a Pentium core processor.

Any recommendations? Oh, and does anyone own
an AMD computer? Does it work with POTC Online?

Thanks in advance.

I currently play on a desktop with an AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3800+, 2.41 GHz (or so it says on my computer specs ) if that helps you.

Pirates Online will run on AMD and Intel.

What are the names of the CPU's and the price differences and I should be able to help you decide.

Also make sure the computer comes with a Good Graphics card.

Thanks Miss Marple and Nick!

Knowing I can get an AMD processor really
expands my computer choices.

I searched around for computers today and
narrowed my choices down to a Intel Core 2
Duo E4300 computer, which is $999.99, and
an AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-52, which
is... um, $1,849.99. (Fell in love with the HP
TouchSmart computer, which is why it is so
expensive. But I can skip a couple of birthdays
for it, even though I will still need to share it.)
So that's an 850 dollar difference.

Anyways, thank you so much!

What video card do they have in them, that will be the decision maker.

Oh, yeah, today I finally got a new computer.

The screen is HUGE! It is a 24 inch widescreen... for the past few years I have been
using a 12 inch screen. Yeah, feel bad for me.

It is really cute, so that makes me happy too. The graphics are great, way better
than I have now. And the RAM is 2GB. Right now I am using the lamest 512 MB
computer, can't wait to set up the new one! Thanks for the help, Nick!

POTCO should run fine on AMD processors once Disney gets most of the bugs/glitches worked out. I'm also looking into getting a new computer, most likely a gaming laptop like Dell's Inspiron XPS (its almost a grand less than the higher end gaming laptops out there and runs just as well).

My question is, what video cards are you guys using that don't give you any problems (in terms of game/graphics performance)? Like ATi's or NVIDIA's...
