I can believe that people do not read the Terms of Use, but if you click agree you are bound to them all the same. In the event you wish to review the rules and policies you agreed to upon registration, they can be found anytime at this link. POF rules and guidelines. By reading these not only are you helping yourself avoid trouble, but helping us, the staff, out by keeping the site a more rule-abiding place.

Ok the US Constitution is in no way affecting these sites considering this is an INTERNATIONAL site we have users from Australia to the US to Great Britian to Turkey and beyond.

Second the ONLY way you can even make an account here is to accept the TOS if you dont then you cant make an account so everyone who is a member has agreed to these terms. There is no way around this it must be done!

Thirdly i admit i did not read the TOS until a few months ago because the rules are basic no in-appropriate, content no spamming, flaming, ect there are a few special rules pertaining to this site but overall its to keep members in alignment.

Forthly a Moderators Decsion is final the only way you can contradict that is if you have solid proof that they are deleteing it for personnal reasons (religion race gender age ect). Some posts get deleted due to off topic if you are in a thread and try to correct someone about double posting their second post and yours will be deleted if thats all it contains there is no need for a post that says "Dont double post" in a thread titled POTCO News.

Fifthly it does make sense to delete "Help" posts If someone posts a welcome thread in the site feedback forum and i post saying "This is the wrong section it should in the Arrivals and Departures forum" and a mod moves it to the correct forum then my post will make no sense because now its in the right section. So to reduce spam/confusion the post is deleted.

Let's get a little back on track for this threads, shall we?

The best thing to do in a situation where you believe a thread is posted in the wrong location is to use the report a post button . Give a brief description as to what you feel is the problem and a mod will be there shortly to handle the situation. This helps direct the mods to a problem on the forums and keeps the forums running smoothly. We're starting to get quite a bit of traffic and we depend on users reporting problems since some posts may be missed by the moderation staff. You may make a post telling the mods to close a thread, move a thread, or some other moderation action but they could miss it. If you report it, every mod for that forum recieves an e-mail for the report. So it's much harder for us to miss a reported post rather than just making a post on a thread trying to draw our attention.

We've found when users of the forums begin to dictate where threads should go, point out policy violations, or other similar statements they can and have lead to arguments. We also call this "back seat modding". These situations are best left to the moderation staff to handle as they have the authority to dictate and carry out our policies. Some users may take offense if another user tells them what to do so please just use the "report a post" button.

It doesn't matter if you read them or not, you still clicked a check box that said "Do You Agree". Just like when you sign a car loan, it's up to YOU to read the fine print. If you don't, that's not the site's problem.

In a nutshell you were back seat moderating which means a member is telling another member to do a site correction. Heres an example:
Sam xD:Look at this cool screenshot guys of my ship in glitched battle!
Some Guy:Your not susposed to post a screenshot thread outside of the screenshots forum. You should move your thread or something

The red is backseat moderating.

Funny, unless their rules have been updated in the last few minutes, the red there is not an example of anything. It merely gives a helpful comment to a person who can conceivably learn from their mistake.

It would still be counted as backseat moderating and would be deleted.

Isn't it PG? But I do agree that the U.S. Constitution does not aply here, as POTCO Forums does have it's own 'constitution', their Terms of Usage. But, anyway your posts may be deleted because: As the Polices and Disclaimers say: Anyone impersonating or acting like they are an administrator or moderator is not allowed and can result in disciplinary action. If a user finds a thread or post that is inappropriate please report the thread or post and let the administration and moderating staff handle the situation. Wouldn't this includeount remarks such as "Your not susposed to post a screenshot thread outside of the screenshots forum. You should move your thread or something"? Myself, I think it should.

I second that, man. It always be the same thing: No Swearing, blah blah blah, No Pirating* subscriptions, blah blah blah, No hacking into other accounts and all that junk. What I don't get though is this: EKB once trashed the forums name
