MSIE 6 and PNG Transparency... is it possible?

Sorry, this has nothing to do with pirates, however it does have to do sort of with this site, the images people are using and creating etc.

First the root of my problem I understand is the situation forcing me to continue to use MSIE v6 for my internet browsing. MSIE v7, and Firefox have some conflicting issues with softwares that I work with, and are therefore not allowed on our systems, and since I have the stuff at home for occasional homework, cant run it there either. I work in a legacy support division, the software is not going to change to accomodate the newer browsers.

So... my problem is that more and more websites are starting to look HORRID with MSIE v6!

More people are using the newer PNG image format, which MSIE v6 will display, but the transparent portions do not work. It ends up making most graphic artists hard decent work on thier site look like garbage with big blue areas, etc.

Half the sigs in these forums are well, not all they could be.. because of it.

Anyone know a way to support PNG transparency in MSIE v6? Just thought i'd ask before my web browsing days run into the ground because I cant navigate the sites anymore.. lol

Thanks either way.
