Well yesterday was day 3 for me not able to get on. I still keep getting the send error report to Microsoft. I'm now sending bug reports to Disney starting with the number of days in a row that I can't get on. You gota wonder, with all the bug reports they must be getting, just how long it is taking them to the ones we are sending in.

As far as I know, both of our accounts are full access. At least that is what it says at the top. Not really sure what you mean by AD's only (Freebooter) and non AD's. We got our two accounts because we both registered for beta.

Off topic here, but can anyone tell me how to put the game on another computer in our home? I trying just going from the link in the e-mails that we were sent, however, it says account already being used. I really would like to try the game on our faster computer.

I agree completely I was just saying that to someone else. I still cant get on at all. It has been 6 days now. I am really frustrated. And to top it off....My daughter apparently did or said something she shouldnt have on VMK (I dont know what she did because they wont tell me anything) and got herself banned. Because she has used MY laptop, they banned me as well. That infuriates me. I have spent major money and time on my character and to get banned and not have it be because of something I did, and not be able to discipline my daughter if what she did was bad is frustrating. Anyway, I feel better now lol. I really hope this gets fixed soon...I WANT TO SHOOT SOMETHING!!

On the VMK thing, if you go to "contact us" as a parent, they might let you know what happened. But I do know, sometimes when people have used contact us to ask about a ban, or to say sorry, they received an automatic 10 year extension.

That is what im afraid of. I have sent messages and I actually did get a reply on both. I sent one from my character and one from my daughters as the parent. They said that I was frozen because of something she did and that it was against their policy to say what she did wrong. (I would really like to know if she needs to be punished for what she did. For all I know it could have been something someone else did and she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time) And on her account they said they couldnt tell me anything because they had no way of knowing if I was really the parent or not. I am really afraid that they are going to extend it for the 10 years. sigh. We have made numerous trips to Disneyland, made numerous purchases there, bought hundreds of dollars worth of movies to get movie rewards and such. We are the types of people that VMK is marketing to . I have more than 10 completely decorated rooms with rare items in them. I dont even talk to anyone when im on the game. I dont trade, I dont go into any rooms but host rooms at all. Ok I take that back I do talk to people when im in a game and they dont know how to play. Or if someone asks how to get somewhere or something. I try to be helpful. sigh...And so now I cant get on this game either....sniff sniff.

To get the installer again, I did this:

1. Go here: https://apps.pirates.go.com/pirates/

2. Click "Log In".

3. Log in with your beta username and password.

4. Click the "Play" button on the top right. On mine it was bright red. It will give you the page with the install link.

I got this today from Pirates Online when I reported the Microsoft error (i also posted this reply in another thread):

Thank you for reporting a problem.

Pirates of the Caribbean Online uses DirectX 9 as the default API to
render graphics. If the version installed on your computer from your
video card manufacturer is unsupported or corrupted, Pirates Online will
then use an older version of DirectX. However, for better 3-D game
display, you will want to update DirectX from Microsoft’s website.

If you still experience display issues within the game, try changing
the Graphic settings under the Options control panel. Be sure to click
Save before you close the Options screen.

Graphic settings that can be changed:

Reflection
•Off
•Sky Only
•On

Shader Level 4 (requires a restart)
•Off
•On

Shadows
•Simple
•Rendered

Texture Detail Level (requires a restart)
•Low
•Medium
•High
•Maximum
•Compressed

Note: both Shader Level 4 and Texture Detail Level require a restart of
the game in order for the changes to take effect.

Fellow Frustrated Pirates, I decided to change my video graphics card to see if that was the problem, and indeed it was. I'm only a basic computer user, but I was able to install a new graphics card with 256MBDDR2 and now I can play POTCO on my HP XP desktop again.

I'm starting to think it's personal - although I have reported microsoft error messages several times a day this is what my one and only email from them (dated yesterday) says:

btw - thanks for posting what they sent you - I did update my direct X but nothing changed - and can't even get to the options menu - dumb mircrosoft error message
