Well On the East coast and the Gulf there is the hurricanes....In the Midwest and Northeast there is Blizzards....In the Central Us and some parts of the South you have Tornados....On the West coast you have Earthquakes......And, in the Northwest there is Mt. St. Hellens. So it seems no matter where you live you have to put up with something. ![]() I now live in Alabama and put up with the tornados. Well if you can call them that. F1's and 2's aint tornados they are a strong wind. LOL Now, back in OK where I grew up they get F4's and 5's. Now those are tornados. On a more serious note......... I hope everyone made it through Ike OK. My thoughts are with all of you. Bella Last edited by Dr. Zeppers; 09-14-2008 at 09:59 AM.. Reason: removed personal info (location too specific) |

why are people so stupid? They won't evacuate on a class what 4 huricane? Why its not their fault i know it was predicted to be what a class 2-3 but still projectionists are always so next time evacuate people just to be safe I know it costs money but then dont buy a house near a huricane zone.

We had one a few months ago but because I was on teh road I couldn't feel it. At least if an earth quake happens everything in my house stays there instead of being blown away or ripped into pieces by the 300 miles and hour winds. Like Zepper said, 'At least you can see them coming!" I hate how earth quakes can just come and Boom! One minute your talking to someone the next your on the floor hoping nothing falls on you. |

We survived - still no power. Looks like it might be Sunday before we get power (hopefully BEFORE the games start). Most likely it will be Tuesday. Some folks north of here might be out for 3-4 weeks.
Have learned how to BBQ everything - including coffee. Not quite the life of a pirate, but close enough........ Last edited by Dr. Zeppers; 09-17-2008 at 07:23 PM.. Reason: Removed Location specifics - glad you got through ok! |
