If you find a book that you want the book club to read, post it here and it will be on the next poll. I think that we are going to try to read one book a month.

The next poll will probably be the last week of February.

Eoin Colfer writes pretty good books. Maybe we could read the Artemis Fowl series at some point? The Supernaturalist was also a good read. Airman, which I have just recently bought (and haven't read yet :P), came out on January 3rd, 2008 - it looks like a good book.

Inkheart (Book one in the Inkworld trilogy) by Cornelia Funke is being made into a movie, and I believe that the release date (for the movie) will be January 30th, 2009. However, Inkdeath (the third installment of the trilogy) will be released, in book form, sometime in Spring 2008. Maybe we could read Inkheart and Inkspell before Inkdeath comes out? Or maybe we could read all three books (on separate months) before the movie comes out?

The Thief Lord and Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke would also be fun to read.

I Am Legend by Richard Matheson is an interesting read (I read a chapter or two in Borders once - I went back today and bought the book, but I haven't finished it yet). Some people have already seen the movie, and maybe some of these people would find it interesting to read the book after they've seen the movie. However, the book might be intense, and sad.

I'll think of some more later >_>

Ah yes, The Supernaturalist is a very nice book. I've read the first Artemis Fowl book. I have yet to read Inkspell and I have only seen the movie of The Thief Lord, but it seems like a very good book.

Operation Red Jericho, the first and second book.
I have almost read the first one.
If not, then the Lemony Snicket books.. all 13 in 2 months.

Hmm, I finished reading I Am Legend, and I think that there are some better options for the monthly book club book.

However, I think that any of The Chronicles of Narnia (by C.S. Lewis) books would be fun to read (although, I suggest that we should start with The Magician's Nephew).

The Last Treasure by Janet S. Anderson was a pretty good read.

Tunnels by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams looks/sounds interesting.

Maybe at some time between now and when Brisingr comes out we could read Eragon and Eldest by Christopher Paolini (each on a different month, of course)?

I've read The Magician's Nephew in the Narnia series. It's a great book to read! It has nearly 200 pages, and explains alot about Narnia The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe
