Question about braces PLEASE READ
I got braces yesterday and i found out what i cant eat but is there anything i cant drink my cousin said i cant drink dark soda but i drank a diet coke yesterday ( when i got them on ) and nothing happened other than my thirst was quenched.

Soda has a lot of sugar in it....this can hide itself in the small spaces around the braces and be hard to clean. If it doesn't get cleaned, then it will start to eat away and decay the tooth at the given location. But I think if you just be careful and brush thoroughly you should be fine....
I'm off to eat a caramel apple now.....

 for me if my idiot told me to NOT eat it i went home and ATE it! even if i didnt eat it before just to prove my point i have dranken more soda since i had my baces AND eaten more candy and garbage just bc he told me not to i did LOL.

I had braces a few years ago [they're off now =D!] but the dentist didn't tell me anything that I couldn't drink...he just told me to brush my teeth alot...so I guess soda's fine..cause I drank it with my braces and my teeth are straight && white now..sooo...

Gotta agree with that. At first they hurt to eat food but after like 3 days you can eat any kind of food again!
I just got mine on about the end of July and I feel fine now. No pain!
