Because of that i created my own forum that we can use to chat about pirates and everything. We don't have to use it, but give it a look, register if you want, and give me your thoughts on it. I still need to upload some pirate themed emoticons, and better emoticons than are on there, but it is pretty much finished and ready to use. Let me know what you think of it. Thanks.

So, unfortunately for you point of view this is a PG rated site - and because your site may contain non-PG rated material we have to remove the link.

Not all parents are confortable alowing those players younger to view / read material which you may find acceptable, and the site policies reflect this (please click the POF Policies Link in my sig for more information)

It is ok for you to have an external site for your guild to post to - but please PM them the site and not post it in public (or I have to do more work...

Yea i have my moments when i wish the censorship was down but then i think well if it wasnt there then this site would be trash so im glad its there

This board is going to be for The Elite Circle Members only. And if you would like to know, it is the fact that my first few posts had to be approved by a moderator, not because I have a problem with the PG environment on here.

Your posts had to be approved by a moderator because you are probably in your moderation period (2 weeks?). Every new account goes through it.

Aye, when I was made a moderator here, I signed up on some of the affiliate boards, and POF moderator or not... I went through the same moderation period on those boards.

High traffic forums like POF, and its affiliate fansites attract advertisement and search engine spammers. Although not the only reason, that is one very valid reason for the process.

Want another example?
Just in the last 24 hours i've had new signups posting hacking requests, etc.
If they had not been under moderation, these posts regarding inappropriate/illegal activity would have gone public.

It may be an inconvenience, but for a board to maintain the level of content control (for a family safe site) POF strives for, it is a necessity.

The negative cannotation of your public threads subject, deserves explanation.

Since you posted your personal thought for public display it is no longer about what you need or do not need, the public deserves to understand what it is you do not like, and the facts surrounding it.

I can understand Richard's fustration - he wants to post right away, we have to watch for spammers... It may come down one day that the same procedure will have to be implemented there if spammers hit those boards

I did like the phpBB Boards (I find phpBB easy to set up - and the color choice was cool). Best of luck with them

I totally agree with Maxx.

Some dont realize what thier words may implicate to others. Only wanted to fairly explain the reasons so those that are not regular members understand.

Yea it may be annoying but it is necissary

they wouldnt do that just to bug you i mean imagine the mods how much they get bugged everytime a new member posts they need to read it and approve it.

Anyway it usually lasts 3 days maybe longer if they notice you are trying to break the rules but its usually 3 days
