You could also try the smaller versions of each. If you like a regular frigate you'll love a war frigate and conversely, if you like a reg. galleon you'll love the war galleon. If you haven't seen it yet here is a link to the stats of all the different ships: http://www.disneyonlineworlds.com/in...hips#Ship_Data When reading these stats be aware of a couple of things. One is that "Speed Sail Points" does not refer to the speed of the ship but rather the hit points for the sail. It seems a lot of people make that mistake. The other is that these stats do not tell the whole story. They tell you nothing about the speed and maneuverability of the ship nor do they tell you how big of a target the ship presents. These factors are just as important as the factors enumerated in the chart. So try them out and see which fits your sailing style and fighting style. That's the best ship for you. The best ship for me or anyone else is irrelevant. |

Ok Max, but understand that in the process of folks "selling the War Frigate" they put down my favorite the War Galleon all the time. Turn about is fair play. "Looks" is going to be an entirely subjective opinion (sorry think the frigates look ugly!!!).
I guess I dont need "faster" or more "maneuverable". Ive always mastered sailing before I master any other skill on my first 4 pirates, always with Galleon class. Ive seen tests of ship times that will give the "light sloop" the only real significant difference in ship speed. I have no problems with speed in my War Galleon. There is seldom any NPC ship (of any class) that can outrun me. Only twice have I had some aggravated insane Reaper move too fast, and it was always in circles and never affected me anyhow.. hehe. I think it comes down to the Captains preference. When I go sinking ships, I dont run back and forth everytime im full, I achieve my goal first, be it a quest, or leveling cannons, etc. Since that timer was removed, I no longer get sunk from that, used to all the time. Never had a problem with manuevering, speed, or empty pockets. Had to move gold around just to participate in the double gold event, because most my big pirates pockets are full. I stay out until im done sinking ships, the more my ship held before getting full the better. I abore SvS because you have to be a glitch master, or anti-glitch master for any kind of a "fair" fight. Players willingness to use such crutchs paints a pitiful picture in that category. And I give up on defending the best ship/class the War Galleon ![]() More firepower/hull and pseudo useless front cannons always win out because its cool. Hey I do have a War Frigate on each of my pirates, I wouldnt short myself one, just never drive the berg. |

![]() Now I do own War Galleons, just to say I own them. But I don't owe them any credit to my owning a WF ![]() Now - as I've said before, my reasons for the WF are not of money or power, I just like the look of them (I am so impratical LOL )... so Edward's and Zeps points are valid for those arguements (though I am a bit of a power freak so I still use my WF for its better hull / target size).

A WG is much better because it can do more damage on a broadside and can hold more booty.

Pick what you like best is what it really comes down to ya'll!!!
Different strokes for different folks, thats why we want to be able to customize our ships!

Double Gold Days: WF and a crew of five, PDF/Outcast - launch, sink ships, port, repeat Sailing alone: WG, PDF/Outcast - launch, sink ships, port, repeat Sailing with a crew just let them level cannons: WF, go to area where their skill levels are best suited - launch, sink ships, port, repeat Privateering: WS - I like the war sloop for SvS because of low profile, speed and maneuvaribility. Only drawback is no forward firing cannons. |

My crew and War Galleon would pull in 1400-2300 approximatey every 10-15 mins. Quit early after pulling in over 20k. How did you do?

Depends on what you like to do. War frigates are good to have if you are a crew person. War galleons are good to have if you are a loner.

I always liked sailing on War Frigates more..but yea, it's really up to the player and your objectives.
