Anyone here play Pirates of The Burning Sea? I just started it this week and its pretty cool. Much harder then Disneys version and no undead but its more true to pirating and loads more to do. I will still play the Disney one as I paid a year for it but I can hop on this one till DIsney comes out with new stuff lol.

If anyone else does Im on Roberts Sever I play on the British side.

I have been looking at that game and wondering how good it was. Could you tell me more about it? The graphics and clothes look better than Disney but I really cant tell from the screenshots if that is real or just from the trailer. I would appreciate it. Kani

I havent tried it yet, but read up on it some.

Its more of a full on mmorg style game like WOW, and those types.
Player based economy, you need to make and sell things. I saw a list of how to make a number of items involved. Seemed complicated to me.

Only a pistol and a sword for weapons as I understand it.

If your looking for a full blown mmorg, then ya probably would want to give it a shot.
But it like most full blown mmorgs is $15/month, and try as I might I could NOT find any discount cards or options anywhere for it.

I play it off and on. Cancelled my subscription then started playing again. I enjoy playing it. It is more difficult than POTCO but it is also more realistic. I'm still not into the full blown economy aspect yet as I only play about once a week and mainly just go on to pay the upkeep on my buildings then go sailing to plunder more dubloons to cover my upkeep costs. My character has reached level 23 with limited play. I play on Rackham server when I'm on. Character is Grizzly Badbonez, Cutthroat Pirate.

I love the game there is so much more to do than Disney's and you can may options to choose from. No lag issues, sure there are glitches but they actually fix them. It is much harder then POTC and the graphics are much better. You do need a more recent video card for it. I have not seen any discounts for the game except to pay in advanced like POTC. When you do buy the game initially you get 30 days of free play. I think most stores sell the game for like 20-40 bucks not sure but I got it new on Amazon for 10 lol. When my year is up on Disney's and they do not fix the annoying soldiers or add anything to do for over level 40 I may just drop them and stick with this one.

You dont even have to buy the game, you can download it, and pay to start (instead of getting 30 days free). They have no "free" account play that im aware of.

I studied it quite a bit thinking about it. But the economy process alone made the game completely unappealing to me.

I like the economy part of the game and the ship battles are cool too. Now I think the one on one combat with the creatures in Disneys version is loads of fun and would be perfect if they would fix the floating officers and sea beards. Zepper if you can download the game for free without paying PM me and I have a 14 day free account that a friend was going to use but his video card is too old. My as well let someone use it.
